woooooh just got Biometrics appointment letter, scheduled for December 8th in Brooklyn....

Gonna look into the possibility of a walk in appointment... i wasn't expecting this for maybe a week or so :)

11/17/2010 - Successful Biometrics walk in - (Day14)

06/14/2011 - still nothing, no online update since 11/17/2010. so frustrated (Day lost count)

08/03/2011 - received email that interview is scheduled for 09/08/2011

09/08/2011 - interview Garden City - received first card production ordered email :)

I'm curious, do you have a time of a day indicated as well, or simply a date? I dread having an 8 am appointment! :P

11/07/10 ------- AoS Package received and singed for

11/10/10 ------- NOA1 received for I-130, I-485 and I-765 (emails)

11/12/10 ------- NOA1 received for I-130, I-485 and I-765 (hard copies)

11/12/10 ------- Touches on I-130, I-485 and I-765

11/19/10 ------- Biometrics appointment letter received

12/06/10 ------- RFE for I-693 (I think the issue is that it was not signed. Called USCIS and will receive a letter in a few days explaining)

12/13/10 ------- Biometrics done

12/16/10 ------- EAD card in production (email)

12/20/10 ------- Received "Letter of Explanation" for RFE (Service Request to expedite my case. Called USCIS and was told to ignore that and just send in response to RFE.)

12/22/10 ------- Touch (Email for Post Decision Activity on EAD saying that a letter of approval has been mailed out)

12/24/10 ------- Received EAD in the mail

12/27/10 ------- Applied for SSN

12/31/10 ------- Received Interview letter

01/03/11 ------- Received SSN card in the mail

01/07/11 ------- Mailed out response to RFE (I-693)

01/15/11 ------- Email confirming USCIS received RFE response

01/31/11 ------- Approved!

Pre-Adjustment of Status:

2006 -------- Met Online

02/07 ------- Visited him in the U.S. for what was suppose to be a few weeks (Came in with birth certificate and health card. Health card expired a few months after)

08/07 ------- Decided to get married because we didn't want to be apart (in the U.S.)

Just did the Biometrics walk in....

i went to the NYC ASC, even though my appointment was for the Brooklyn ASC, no one mentioned the fact that i was 3 weeks early for the appointment, just that i was at the wrong ASC.

I had to explain that the reason i went to the NYC ASC is that i work about 6 blocks away, and it was so much more convenient just arriving there at 8am, rather than traversing my way to the unfamiliar location on the other side of Brooklyn to where i live....

They were super nice about it though.... although, there was a Chinese fellow who's appointment also seemed to be scheduled for Brooklyn, but they told him to leave....

I'm not sure why.... i think that either they didn't have sufficient translators, or he was doing Biometrics for a different reason....

Just something to be aware of i guess....

I am not looking forward to explaining/describing/recounting our relationship to a complete stranger.....

it's gonna be so weird...

ultimately worth it, but such a weird situation to voluntarily put yourselves through....

Hello,

I've sent my package in to Chicago Lock box on 11-10-10 and was received by USCIS on 11-12-10.

I received text message today 11-17-10 of receipt# MSC with 10 numbers with it in 4 text messages duplicated twice.

But I did not receive any emails.

What does that mean?

12/20/2013 - RFE returned

1/2014 - 10 year green card approved.

maybe they got the email address wrong.... you got word that they were received, thats all that matters....

there's probably a way you can update your email address when you are able to see your cases on the USCIS website...

we mailed our I-130 , I-184 on Nov 10 by Fed-ex

and received notice by email Nov 17th;

Now the learning curve has lessened and the waiting and hoping curve has begun!

It's mid December and yes, we're gonna wait for it. It's at 8am, but oh well! We'll just make sure to leave super early! I don't really want to chance it by going in the after noon.

We just sent our package yesterday, right after we could pick up I-693 form.Hopefully everything will be alright.It's expected to be arrived tomorrow, on monday!

11/19/10: I-693 sealed.It means my chest x ray is fine :)

11/20/10: Package [ I-130,I-485,I-765] sent to Lockbox

11/22/10 [Day 1]: Delivered there

11/29/10 [Day 7]: Return receipt from USPS

12/13/10 [Day 21]: Texts and email received [ after 21 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!]

12/16/10 [Day 24]: Snail copy received

12/18/10 [Day 26]: Every single form touched

12/20/10 [Day 28]: Biometrics letter received

1/13/11 [Day 51]: Biometrics done

1/24/11 [Day 62]: Biometrcis appointment received AGAIN.!!!!!!!!!I was like #######

We just mailed our packet today...right before the fees go up! Nothing like last minute, but my hubby is a bit of a procrastinator and there's only so much I can do to push him ;)

Just curious, for those who do walk-in biometrics, what is the reason? Does this speed up your process if you are able to get in? Best of luck to everyone!

May 2002 He stopped attending school because he couldn't afford it any longer.

03?/2002 USC sibling I-130 petition

02/2009 Met hubby

08/2009 Sibling petition approved but ineligible to adjust status due to overstay

07/10 Married :)

11/22/10 [day 0]- mailed AOS packet!! should be there by noon 11/23/2010

12/3/10 [day 11]- received email/text notification of acceptance from USCIS

12/3/10 hubby surprised me with a trip to Los Angeles for my birthday...no problems :)

12/6/10 [day 14]- received hard copy NOA1 in mail

12/7/10 [day 15]- checks cashed...ouch

12/15/10 [day 23]- rec'd biometrics appt set for Dec. 28th at 10 am! :)

12/28/10 [day 36]- successful biometrics appt

01/27/11 [day 66]- rec'd interview appt set for March 10th at 10 am :)

02/25/11 [day 95]- rec'd EAD

03/10/11 [day 109]- Interview, Green card approved!! :)

Next Step: Removing conditions in 2 years.
