Happy New year everyone...I finally received my biometrics appointment letter today. Appointment set on the 25th of January!!

My timeline:

10/2009 - E2 Visa delivered by the US Embassy in Paris.

12/2009 - Relocation in Big Apple :)

06/2010 - Mariage in France.

11/2010 - Assembly of package (I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131).

11/22/10 - package sent to Chicago (FedEx/Overnight.

11/23/10 - Package delivered to USCIS at 10:18 am.

12/08/10 - Received Rejection Notice of the package for incorrect fees.

12/09/10 - Corrected package sent again to Chicago (Fedex Overnight).

12/10/10 - Package delivered to USCIS at 10:08 am.

12/14/10 - Received emails/texts notifications of acceptance from USCIS.

12/20/10 - NOA1 received for I-130, I-485, I-765 and I-131(hard copies).

01/03/11 - Appointment Notice received - Biometrics appointment set for the 01/25.

01/25/11 - Biometrics done.

02/16/11 - Received Email: EAD in production, Post decision/Approval for AP.

02/26/11 - Received EAD/AP Card

03/28/11 - Interview notification received by email. Interview set for the 05/03.

12/20/10 ------- Received "Letter of Explanation" for RFE (Service Request to expedite my case. Called USCIS and was told to ignore that and just send in response to RFE.)

2011/April/14 - DAY 170 - 30 days since my interview: Called USCIS - was told wait a 30 more days.

It does and, in my opinion, it is. When I received the RFE, there was no information. Just "send us a properly filled and signed I-693". I figured it was a missing signature, but just to be on the safe side, I called USCIS. I spoke to a tier 2 person and they assured me that I would receive a letter, in two weeks, explaning in details what the issue was. The letter I received was a note saying that I had requested Expedite Service. I called again and was told to simply ignore that notice since it was obviously an error.

I am not saying the false expedite request is what is causing my case to be going so fast, but it could be a reason. The other reason could be that our local USCIS office is not very busy.

just called uscis and they sent my biometrics letter on december 31st so i should be getting it soon!!!! yay!!!!!

7/28/04 we met

10/ /06 started dating long distance, not fun

7/15/08 we gave birth to a beautiful baby boy

11/11/10 we got married in amazing Santa Barbara

11/17/10 mailed I 130, I 131, AP and EAD

11/25/10 package received

12/06/10 checks cashed

12/08/10 Email/ text

12/11/10 NOA hard copies in the mail

01/ /11 biometrics walk in successful in Oxnard

02/07/11 EAD in production, AP post decision activity

12/6/2010- Received RFE to prove we meet the 125% of the poverty line. (Currently waiting to file taxes and send this information in.)

12/25/2010- Received Biometrics letter dated 12.21.2010 for Appt 1/18/2011

1/6/2011- Successful Walk-In Biometrics

2/17/2011- Responded to RFE

3/10/2011- Received email that Work Permit card production has been ordered

3/14/2011- Interview notice for April 19th received(Mailed march 11)

I got my RFE for the missing I-693 between Christmas and new years and mailed the I-693 back right away.

The USCIS received it on the 5th.

But other than that there are no updates from my side.

04/2006 - came to US as L1 employee

04/2010 - got married

11/2010 - submitted AOS package (I-130, I-485, I-765)

05/2011 - Welcome letter arrived in the mail

11/2017 - Filed for naturalization (Online Houston office)

11/2017 - Biometrics

06/2018 - Interview (passed)

06/2018 - Case approved notification

I came here on a visa waiver when i was 12 years old, and have stayed eversince I'm 21 years old now.

11/18/2010- Recieved Receipts

11/29/2010- Recieved my biometrics appointment schedualed for 12/17/2010

Lisa, if you dont live in the 9th circuit jurisdiction you will get approved, no problems, recently many have adjusted status, if overstay was your only issue and everything else is fine then you should not worry. God bless you.

Lisa, if you dont live in the 9th circuit jurisdiction you will get approved, no problems, recently many have adjusted status, if overstay was your only issue and everything else is fine then you should not worry. God bless you.

It just depends on your local office. It might be busy with lots of applications. So whats your local office located?

11/8/10: Medical exam

11/12/10:Get married

11/19/10: I-693 sealed.It means my chest x ray is fine :)

11/20/10: Package [ I-130,I-485,I-765] sent to Lockbox

11/22/10 [Day 1]: Delivered there

11/29/10 [Day 7]: Return receipt from USPS

12/13/10 [Day 21]: Texts and email received [ after 21 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!]

12/16/10 [Day 24]: Snail copy received

12/18/10 [Day 26]: Every single form touched

12/20/10 [Day 28]: Biometrics letter received

1/13/11 [Day 51]: Biometrics done

1/24/11 [Day 62]: Biometrcis appointment received AGAIN.!!!!!!!!!I was like #######

2/04/11 [Day 72]: Second biometrics done
