I got my AP via Fedex today...they messed up the country, instead of Slovenia, it says Slovak republic...should I play stupid at my POE?

K1 JOURNEY
Sent I 129 F: Mid January 2010, they received it January 20th
Interview: June 21st...K1 VISA APPROVED
POE in MCO: July 22nd 2010

AOS JOURNEY
Sent AOS, EAD, AP: November 8th 2010
Delivered: November 10th
Check cashed, NOA1s received in text and email: November 16th
Touch: November 19th
Biometrics in Orlando: December 16th
Contacted congressman's office with inquiry to expedite AP: January 12th 2011
EAD approved: January 13th
EAD received: not sure, I was overseas, but I know it arrived between January 24th and 28th
AP approved - no update on USCIS; I was notified of approval by Congressman: January 13th
AP received: January 21st
Started job hunting: February 11th
Interview: March 7th @ 2.35 pm - GC APPROVED!
Received GC in mail: March 14th

Kinda funny how glued we get to these case updates. Before the technology was able to check the case online, we would just be sitting pretty waiting for something in the mail. Instead we get paranoid

We were sent separate letters for biometrics. First letter received was for AOS biometrics, and the second 1 or 2 weeks later was for the EAD. Yes having to do your biometrics again would be a delay

Sent my RFE yesterday. Just so anyone who gets RFE knows, my RFE was sent to a PO Box in Missouri and Fedex/UPS won't deliver to a PO Box; only USPS does and it takes two days even for Express Post.

What the heck? Something is up with USCIS. There's someone in the October filers group from Slovenia as well, and their green card came with Slovak Republic printed on it. "AR and MD" is the VJ member's name.

I'm the USC petitioner.

i am pissed...how can they make such mistakes?!

I am flying home to my husband on feb 4th and im expecting a smooth POE...trying to be positive.

My husbands EAD came in the mail today as well --- too bad its no longer valid as we are now waiting on the GC. Also, everyday and I mean EVERY day since our interview my husbands AOS case has been touched (received txt messages). We received the official Welcome Letter saturday and today another touch --- I'm assuming it's the card being mailed out? It makes no sense really :wacko:

I haven't hear anything from my case since jan 21th, i know it sounds i dont have any patience but waiting on my EAD to be approved is getting on my nerves, and i was also on the K1 visa and took seven months the process, i am just tired...

How ignorant of them!!! :bonk: ... USCIS is a joke and their officers cannot have graduated from elementary school. I just told my hubby about this and he laughed with tears. He also said you guys should write to CNN. Somebody should cover these guys with shame and show everybody how pathetic they are!

Totally agree! We are with you ! The officers Probably have no idea that for ex. Czechoslovakia does not exist anymore! Pathetic ...this whole process is just beyond me.

August 09 2007---- Enter U.S on F -1 ( graduate school)

February 16 2009 - August 2010---- on pre-completion OPT ( while writing my thesis)

August 2010--- graduated from grad school

August 2010-February 16 2011--- on post- completion OPT

My AOS timeline:

Nov 20 2010--- got married!! :) sent our AOS package to Chicago Lockbox.

Nov 22 2010--- package recived with my AOS (EAD, AP,I-130)

Dec 8 2010--- checks cashed for both AOS and I-130 and recived email and text notification ( 16 emails and 16 texts!wow!)

Dec 10 2010--- hard copy of NOA1 for AOS, I-131,I-130, I-765 recived via USPS

Dec 18 2010--- recived BIometrics appt. letter for Jan 7, 2011.

Dec 20 2010--- biometrics done, walk in

Feb 4 2011--- email notification that my EAD card has been ordered.sweet!
