Wow, this is really weird...I've been waiting as I really expected our AP by Monday at the latest. We mailed our AOS/EAD/AP on 11/1/10. I even delivered a request to our congresswoman yesterday to check on our AP, because I really need to book our tickets soon...we plan to go back to Wales in less than a month!

Today, I received an update - our AOS is approved!!! :dance: No word on EAD & AP. Seems kinda silly spending so much time on all 3 packages when we got our AOS approved first! But, still worth it in case it would have been the other way around!

From the USCIS website:

On January 20, 2011, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

At least I can purchase those tickets...tickets for me to fly to Wales for 10 days, tickets for my hubby to fly to wales for 20 days, and tickets for his mom, dad, and brother to come home with my hubby and visit us for 2 weeks and attend our wedding reception that we are FINALLY planning Wow!

Another weird thing...just got another text message...same message and when I went to the website my EAD is in card production mode!

So, the one thing I was sitting and watching for the past few weeks - the AP - is the last thing to get approved anyways. LOL

I guess the AOS is even better, and yup - no interview. At first, from reading on here, I thought it would be nice that it was transferred to CSC because of the no interview aspect, but then realized that most with interviews were getting their interviews scheduled. I had also read that cases transferred to CSC can take months longer to get approved.

Wow, I'm still in shock - just like when our K-1 was approved in 1.5 months - I was expecting at least 3 at the time due to all the timelines I had seen back then.

I am curious. My interview is in 3 weeks. Do you think they will wait for my interview to determine whether I'll be approve for ead and ap? Seems like ppl around my time received approval on ead/ap but not me.

No, they are separate cases. We already got our EAD and AP and our interview is still a month away.

I think it depends on who handles your case. Some people was approved AOS before EAD and AP and some are vice-versa. Some people got biometric before RFE and I waited a month to get RFE for initial evidence and did not get biometric letter until I responsed to RFE. So I think it all depends case by case.

I have a question, maybe anyone on here knows.. If you get your AOS approved without the interview, what are you supposed to do with your I-94 (departure/arrival) form? Are you supposed to keep it, cause as far as I know you give it away at the interview.. Thanks!

I think it expires in 90 days anyway.

Oh geez, why does this have to be sooo confusing and full of mis-information??

I just went in to My Account at USCIS.gov to show my husband the official news that we are getting his Permanent Resident card....and this is what it now says:

Decision

On January 20, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before receiving your card, please call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

During this step the formal decision (approved/denied) is written and the decision notice is mailed and/or emailed to the applicant/petitioner. You can use our current processing time to gauge when you can expect to receive a final decision.

Guess that means we still have to wait to purchase those plane tickets?!? I really don't want to purchase them until I either am certain the AOS or AP is approved, or til we have it in hand? Argghhhhh!
