It's been a month today since my biometrics appt and haven't gotten any update about my EAD ill wait another week and after that ill try to contact uscis does anyone know what number or who should call

I think you won't need your EAD anymore if you pass your interview on Feb 7.

Yes that is true, I was just hoping to get a SS# and be put on bills etc. to show that we live together but i guess its too late for that anyway since it takes 2 weeks to get ss# mailed to you after applying for the ss# at my local office

Do you have bank account if you have not had your SSN? Would showing mails with same address help? I'm not sure if I'm wrong; but I don't think you NEED to have both names on the same bills to show that you are living together?!

Finally received two updates. 2 months after last touch on 11/15. Text messages at 6:59pm read that AP is approved and EAD is in production. Yay! Seems we are one of the first few with news on AP/EAD, but our interview is so far away compared to others. Doesn't look like USCIS follows any standard order on who/what/when to process first

Funny, got a notification text/email this morning 6:58am from USCIS. EAD is approved (Post Decision). Previously I was notified it was approved and in production. Seems like it went back a step from in production to just approved.

Is it possible that even though I was contacted and told by a congressman that USCIS told them my AP was approved on 1/13/2011, that really it wasnt? Because there is no change/touch/update about it on uscis.gov. If I call USCIS would they be able to tell me if AP was already sent to me?

Wife received AP document in the mail today with her pretty picture on it

Not sure what's up with the EAD though, first it was in production, now it's just in approval.

Spela, i would call USCIS and see if they can confirm it's approved. I got approved E-notification on Friday night and got AP today.

Not sure, i don't think it said on the envelope or the document. I'd have to look at it again later. Yeah i think they sent the notification once shipped.

Just check mail. I FINALLY received biometric appointment letter today.

The letter dated Jan 13 (the date USCIS received my RFE) and postmarked Jan 14 (the date USCIS sent me e-notification).

I think I'm not too far away to the end of this AOS process!!!!!

I decided to call USCIS. I got to speak to a person. I was told the wait time was 1 - 3 min. This call was pretty unproductive. The lady read to me what I could see online myself and forwarded my call to another person. The machine told me the wait time is 25 - 30 min. After 60 min on the phone I got to talk to another lady (was that at MSC?). She told me that yes, my AP was approved on 1/13 and was probably sent on 1/14 and that I was probably going to get it by thursday, friday (still hoping on tomorrow), and if I dont, call back in a week. I mentioned that in my letter from the Congressman I was told I can schedule an Infopass and get a stamp in my passport (Would I still need my AP documents when I came back to the USA, I dont know). She said even if the earliest available Infopass date was, lets say, 1/29/2011, I could still try and get in Orlando Office, show them Infopass letter + the letter from Congressman. I dont know...should I wait or not...still thinking...
