Kinda funny how glued we get to these case updates. Before the technology was able to check the case online, we would just be sitting pretty waiting for something in the mail. Instead we get paranoid

We were sent separate letters for biometrics. First letter received was for AOS biometrics, and the second 1 or 2 weeks later was for the EAD. Yes having to do your biometrics again would be a delay

A super nice lady from the congressman's office called me after I faxed them, asked for my receipt number and said she's gonna get to USCIS right away. Im hoping for the best!

Cool. Let us know how it goes. Hope you can get your AP real soon, your flight is next week?

+1 Same here. They tried to deliver on Saturday and so 'left a note' which is always worrying! lol but it showed up as collected on the Monday at 4.33pm. Not heard or seen anything since, but not really expecting to for at least a week or more. Whoever's in charge of our files though seems to be good at updating the status in a timely manner, so I'll let you know when it looks like they're working on it again, assuming they carry on updating status in the same way.

I'm really kicking myself because there are a lot of short term 'back to school rush' jobs going at the college I'm starting at next week, and they're giving permanent on the basis of performance. Can't really do a thing until my EAD shows up though because I have to be hire-able by the end of the week! lol

I am, mine is still under review, but i just had my biometrics this week, so i have to wait to see if i am going to have an interview date soon...

i was wondering about it too(the letter said FBI cannot read/process fingerprint card) some of the november filers had also 2 biometrics. Some said it was a result of too dry hands; the agent who took the biometrics did not get the appropriate scan of the fingerprint ( now i remember my scan had many red spots and was beeping frequently) and the agent just clicked the override?

the thing is i got the notice for second biometrics after almost 2 weeks and was scheduled a month after my first biometric. I am delayed one month in relation to my co-filers who submitted 1st of Nov. :(. the first week nov filers are already getting their letter for interview. :blink:

Now i am the same timeline as yours solmarc. I'll be keeping in touch. I hope your biometrics will go through and my 2nd biometric will pass also this time.

hi sundrop, i am interested about the back to school rush jobs. how do i check those or who should i approach? it's the first time i heard of it. if u dont mind what kind of work does it entail? i want to try for that too in my area so i have a prospect job in the future. thanks :blush:

August 09 2007---- Enter U.S on F -1 ( graduate school)

February 16 2009 - August 2010---- on pre-completion OPT ( while writing my thesis)

August 2010--- graduated from grad school

August 2010-February 16 2011--- on post- completion OPT

My AOS timeline:

Nov 20 2010--- got married!! :) sent our AOS package to Chicago Lockbox.

Nov 22 2010--- package recived with my AOS (EAD, AP,I-130)

Dec 8 2010--- checks cashed for both AOS and I-130 and recived email and text notification ( 16 emails and 16 texts!wow!)

Dec 10 2010--- hard copy of NOA1 for AOS, I-131,I-130, I-765 recived via USPS

Dec 18 2010--- recived BIometrics appt. letter for Jan 7, 2011.

Dec 20 2010--- biometrics done, walk in

Feb 4 2011--- email notification that my EAD card has been ordered.sweet!
