Kinda funny how glued we get to these case updates. Before the technology was able to check the case online, we would just be sitting pretty waiting for something in the mail. Instead we get paranoid

We were sent separate letters for biometrics. First letter received was for AOS biometrics, and the second 1 or 2 weeks later was for the EAD. Yes having to do your biometrics again would be a delay

Sent my RFE yesterday. Just so anyone who gets RFE knows, my RFE was sent to a PO Box in Missouri and Fedex/UPS won't deliver to a PO Box; only USPS does and it takes two days even for Express Post.

just checked my mailbo1 and Biometrics appt letter is here (12/18/10) for January 7th at 11am!I will try early walk -in on Monday(12-20)...we will see, I don't see many people from Pittsburgh here on the VJ forum.' Yay! moving forward!

August 09 2007---- Enter U.S on F -1 ( graduate school)

February 16 2009 - August 2010---- on pre-completion OPT ( while writing my thesis)

August 2010--- graduated from grad school

August 2010-February 16 2011--- on post- completion OPT

My AOS timeline:

Nov 20 2010--- got married!! :) sent our AOS package to Chicago Lockbox.

Nov 22 2010--- package recived with my AOS (EAD, AP,I-130)

Dec 8 2010--- checks cashed for both AOS and I-130 and recived email and text notification ( 16 emails and 16 texts!wow!)

Dec 10 2010--- hard copy of NOA1 for AOS, I-131,I-130, I-765 recived via USPS

Dec 18 2010--- recived BIometrics appt. letter for Jan 7, 2011.

Dec 20 2010--- biometrics done, walk in

Feb 4 2011--- email notification that my EAD card has been ordered.sweet!

Well done! What was the reason you contacted your Congressman? To expedite your EAD?

I contact my Congressman cuz i was worry at 30 days after my first NOA i didn't received appt letter for my biometrics when i contact USCIS they just told me wait for 30 days after the first NOA,after 30 days i contact USCIS again!!!! they make a Service Request for my biometric appt and told me just wait another 30 days more !!! mmmmmm hell nooooooo 30 more days!!!

that's why i contact my congressman, I went to the office,sign a form,copy of my NOA's (AOS,EAD), I ask him if i can expedite my case because i want to start work and support my family,he was very nice,after that i received my appt for biometric for dec 28 ... was to fARRRR . Thats why i do a Early walk IN ! the officer was very nice. I was surprise cuz the office was empty,no lines,and they do my fingers print right away,at the same day dec 13, I received a email about my AOS was tranfer to CSC .

On dec 16 i received a phone call from my Congressman and he told me my EAD is approved and I'm going to receive my card soon.

Later i received a email and text from USCIS EAD Production Ordered 12-16-2010

I'm very Happyyyyy

If any people right here need help with yours cases,biometrics appt or any question or need help,contact your Congressman, in my case WORKS!!!!!!!!

how do u contact ur congressman

the first time i contact him was by phone and the secretary explain me how i can request a help for this immigration matter and she give the address and I went to his office and do the papers in person.

You have to know who is your Congressman,check in the internet for his/her phone # and address,they are there for help us in many situation not only in immigration matters.

My receipt number starts with MSC. I read from other posts on VJ that MSC receipt number always have problem to be check online and the processing time shows on USCIS web site for MSC is 3 months as of Oct 31. Does it really take that long?

Anyone here with MSC number got their biometric letter within couple days after NOA1? Thanks!

Just an update on the online case status. I can finally locate my cases on the USCIS web site and they were all touch on Dec 18.
