Hi guys, I was trying to lookup my case on USCIS web site but it said case cannot be found. My NOA1 was dated Dec 10. Does anyone have the same problem? Thanks!

Hey! Well, I got my NOA1 on Dec 10. and "case cannot be found' for me as well. It seems that online tracking is not really realible :/

August 09 2007---- Enter U.S on F -1 ( graduate school)

February 16 2009 - August 2010---- on pre-completion OPT ( while writing my thesis)

August 2010--- graduated from grad school

August 2010-February 16 2011--- on post- completion OPT

My AOS timeline:

Nov 20 2010--- got married!! :) sent our AOS package to Chicago Lockbox.

Nov 22 2010--- package recived with my AOS (EAD, AP,I-130)

Dec 8 2010--- checks cashed for both AOS and I-130 and recived email and text notification ( 16 emails and 16 texts!wow!)

Dec 10 2010--- hard copy of NOA1 for AOS, I-131,I-130, I-765 recived via USPS

Dec 18 2010--- recived BIometrics appt. letter for Jan 7, 2011.

Dec 20 2010--- biometrics done, walk in

Feb 4 2011--- email notification that my EAD card has been ordered.sweet!

Kinda funny how glued we get to these case updates. Before the technology was able to check the case online, we would just be sitting pretty waiting for something in the mail. Instead we get paranoid

We were sent separate letters for biometrics. First letter received was for AOS biometrics, and the second 1 or 2 weeks later was for the EAD. Yes having to do your biometrics again would be a delay

Sent my RFE yesterday. Just so anyone who gets RFE knows, my RFE was sent to a PO Box in Missouri and Fedex/UPS won't deliver to a PO Box; only USPS does and it takes two days even for Express Post.

My receipt number starts with MSC. I read from other posts on VJ that MSC receipt number always have problem to be check online and the processing time shows on USCIS web site for MSC is 3 months as of Oct 31. Does it really take that long?

Anyone here with MSC number got their biometric letter within couple days after NOA1? Thanks!

My NOA is dated Dec 1 and I still cannot find my case online...oh well...

I have a new best friend: my senator's aide! Afer trying different things to expedite my EAD, I contacted my senator and her aide just blew me away. I got my biometrics appointment letter on Monday (scheduled for 12-22), but took a chance and did a successful walk-in yesterday. Called the aide back as she had asked me to do and she said she would "take it from there". She was not playing around: got a text message from USCIS this pm saying that my EAD card was in production!!! :dance: I can now call my employer and get back to work once I get the card. So very grateful and happy.

wow! :thumbs: I love people who actually care and do their job! Congrats! :thumbs:

My receipt numbers also start with MSC and i did not have problems checking the status online. I did get my biometrics letter one day after my NOA1. Wish you well in your journey.

my NOA 1 date is the 6th of december and i as well cant check my case on uscis....well nothing i can do except wait which im getting better and better at it =)

i have a question for you guys on here that already received their biometrics letter and decided to do a walk in: does a walk in actually speed up the process? or you just do it so you its done?

Now hopefully i will be getting EAD soon.

I got a letter on Wednesday saying that our case has been transferred to the California Service Center but still no biometrics letter. I guess they know waht they are doing. While I'm happy they sent the case to CSC, I'm still wondering why we haven't received a notice for our biometrics appt.
