Hello everybody,

I am also a november filer, I sent my package on the 8th of november, and i recieved my NOA on the 23rd. No biometrics letter yet, and when i check my case status it tells me my case is not in their data base yet. I am getting worried as everyone here seems to be able to check their case on the uscis web site-on my case status...

Mailed the RFE on Thursday and i got this message from USPS when i checked the status:- "Your item was delivered at 4:22 pm on December 06, 2010 in LEES SUMMIT, MO 64081."

My question is why the delivery zip code doesn’t match? I sent it to 64002 and it was delivered at 64081. Why is that? Has my REF gone to a wrong place?? What should i do coz im going crazy. USCIS has not confirmed receipt of the RFE. Please advice. Thanks and good luck to all of us.

It's likely that it went to the correct place. When I first sent in my AOS package I noticed the same thing - the zip code I sent it to was not the zip code it appeared to be received at but I got my emails shortly after that.......

Finally have a biometrics appointment! Not the letter yet, but at least I found out when it's going to be. I've been trying to expedite my EAD so I can resume my job (American company) and hadn't had any luck until today. First, I had contacted our congress rep who said there was nothing she could do until 2 months after filing. Then, I called USCIS and provided them with documents to justify the expedite; never heard anything back. Finally today, got a phone call from a Senator's aide. I had written this Monday, thinking that it would be a waste of time! She explained that she called someone at USCIS and they told her that the appointment letter was in the mail, and the date (Dec. 22nd). She explained my situation to them, and they suggested that I do a walk-in. When that is done (the minute I get the letter since the local office is 15 minutes away!), I need to call her back and she will take it from there.

I am totally hoping that it speeds up the process, but I have to say that the simple fact that I got to speak to someone both nice and helpful about the situation felt sooooo good!!
