my worry about an infopass appointment is that I'll reenact a scene from the michael douglas film falling down

seriously, I am absolutely gutted and confounded at this point -- how could this ####### who couldn't even get my name right do this?

:( How crappy. I am so sorry you have to go through this. I know how frustrated you must be. Hang in there!

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

What is very frustrating is that this letter (actually a more accurate description is a photocopied form -- I've seen more official looking garage sale signs) also tells me inquiries will not be accepted until 180 days after your interview (actually it originally said 60 days but someone crossed that out and put 180) -- so infopass would be as waste of time, yes? I don't want to spend another day off work and $15 in parking to be told they can't tell me anything.

If there was something missing to establish my eligibility wouldn't I have got an RFE? Would they say something in my interview? Everything seemed normal - the DO even said congratulations.

I'm almost in a good mind to go back to Britain -- without putting too fine a point on it. I make f*cking 6 figures, I'd rather give my hard earned tax revenues to another government at this point

Yes, I am in a bad mood -- Mrs. Boxer, you're getting a phone call.

Everytime I have to deal with a government organisation here I want to go back to the UK. In so many ways this country is more 3rd world than South Africa (where I grew up).
