submit AOS without I-693?

My wife is here with a K1 Visa, we wanted to submit the AOS/EAD this week. We knew she did not need a medical exam being she had one for the K1 less then 1 year ago. But we forgot about needing vaccinations (she has no proof of previous vaccinations) and we see she needs 2 doses of a particular one, and she has to wait 4 weeks for the 2nd dose...and we'd much rather send the AOS/EAD in now then wait 5 weeks or so.

So, can we send in the AOS without the I-693? (in the I-485 instructions it says: "you only need to submit a vaccination supplement, not the entire medical report. You "may" include the vaccination supplement with the form I-485")

While you should get both doses for your health, you can submit your medical once you get the first. There is an "exempt" box on the form the doctor fills out indicating "insufficient time between intervals." The vaccination supplement needs to be filled out by a civil surgeon, but since you did K-1 you don't need the full medical. I am not sure exactly how this works (though there are lots of threads in this forum on the matter) but I wanted to let you know you don't have to wait for the second dose. Good luck!

AOS for my husband

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Agree with the PP.

They are not permitted to make you wait for the second shot. it's against their rules. So get the first one and the I-693 vaccination stuff filled out and submit aos. Done.
