Question #1

I'm filing I-130 and I-485 concurrently do i need two copies of our marriage certificate to attach with each form? I'm confused.

Question#2

For I-130 form do we need copy of USC's passport and copy of USC's birth certificate? Or one document is enough? Does the birth certificate has to be Certify copy?

Thanks for all your help.

I made two packages - one for the I-485 and one for the I-130 - with all the info requested. Sure, there was a lot of duplication and I had to spend a little more for extra copies but I'd rather spend a little extra on copies than get an RFE. I haven't heard of any applications getting rejected because of too much information.

The marriage certificates need to be certified. The birth certificates do not. However, be sure to bring the originals of everything to your interview.

Actually, the marriage certificate can be a regular photocopy. The VJ guide is wrong on that. Bring the real deal to the interview.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!
