Just coming on board, folks. Here's my situation. Filed petition for my fiancee in July 2010, got my NO1A followed by an RFE demanding a mid-July response. Material was sent and received by them and their reply stated I should hear from them within 14-60 days. That places expected response date somewhere in mid October or so. Been stuck in bubble #3 "Request for Evidence Review". Checked the case in my account and noticed on the "last updated" page that something was updated on 10/03/2010. Could this be the "collective touched" you referred to? I suppose that's what you guys mean when you say "touched", right? Also, since I wasn't aware of the way the process works I didn't bother to check the system's area before. Is it possible therefore that they may have done a previous update which isn't now showing up? My question is this: Isn't that time way too long not to have heard from them yet? I didn't want to contact them until the beginning of this year and actually after the 150th day because I read somewhere on this forum that K-1 visa Petitions at VSC can take between 150-180 days on an average.

Finally, I find this site very useful because the information being given out is real time and very helpful. Before getting on here, I used to sweat every little stuff but now, I know I can throw out any issues here and someone will give me an idea on how best to deal with it.

Just read on Igor's list that my K-1 Petition was among those not approved. I filed i June,got an RFE and sent in the requested material in August, yet haven't heard anything from them. So how does Igor know that my Petition was not approved? Help me here, I am new and totally lost.

Folks,

Here then is my follow-up question: Does that mean VSC has actually seen and determined that they will not approve my K-1 Petition? Assuming (God forbid) that were the case, wouldn't they send me some kind of notification, perhaps an NOA2 or something? I have been on the same bubble since mid-August, "Request for Evidence Review" and nothing is moving. I was last touched on 10/13/2010. For those of us who filed in June 2010, only about 10 of u,s according to Igor, were not approved, yet I see some have actually received their NOA2. Did these folks indicate somehow somewhere that they were npt approved. The VJ timeline last week said VSC was working on August 6th, 2010, at least a week before my own comes up.I guess what I really want to know is whether Igor based his "not approved" list on self-reported outcomes from people.

Igors list is just an estimate based off of what people enter into their timelines. if you want a status on your case i suggest you call 1-800-375-5283 press 1 2 then option 6. and ask for a service request.

Hello everyone!

I sent all my paper work on August and they got everything on the 10th! Since then the only sign that they gave us was on Oct 3rd... Today completed 5 months that they have our stuff and no answer =/ My fiance called there and they said that vsc is a lil behind and they still processing papers from july =/ they also said that we should be getting something on the next 31 days if we dont hear something by then we should call them again =/////// im pretty upset and mad today! I had that big feeling that We were getting something today but no =///// we didnt =,(
