When I was in Morocco, I went shopping and bought one just like the one my soon to be mother-in-law uses. I knew, I could never find one here in the states like the one most commonly used in Morocco. I love it and it cooks the couscous perfect. It's aluminum as well.

I know I will get flak for this but..........I have used the couscousier (I have 2 types) and the microwave and niether my husband nor I can tell a difference and the micro is way more convinient (sp) IMO. Just soak the couscous in the mixture of chicken (or other) broth and salt and spices, same as you put on the vegetables etc.....and after it obsorbs the moisture, fluff the grains with a fork and microwave .. voila!:thumbs: er ah I mean besaha

lol! i've never been that lucky unfortunately, in trying any other methods for getting it all nice and fluffy.

strangely enough though, my all-time favorite couscous recipe isn't steamed, and isn't even moroccan. go figure.
