Suicide bombers and other terrorists are not following Islam. That is a statement of fact, not an excuse.

Yes, lets listen to Sofiyya rather than the word of the people who carry out these atrocities, often left in videos, notes etc etc.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

He isn't a bigot my dear Sof... He is a spiritual leader of the bent terrorist version of Islam. He really believes the ####### he spews is the proper interpretation of the great prophets teachings. We should both be able to agree he is wrong? Where we differ is you can't admit his vision has any connection to Islam, as though doing so tarnishes how you believe.

When I point out evil done in the name of Christianity, it is denied and excused because it is acceptable to separate Christianity from the wrongs done by people claiming to be Christians. Yet, normal Muslims are forced, in your diseased minds, to share the same philosophy with terrorists who agree with you, but not with me. The double standard serves your purposes, and motivates me to resist the agenda you share with them.

Thanks for making my point. My suggestion was to Lord Infamous that suicide bombers seem to be the Politically Correct way to eliminate followers of Islam which seemed to be his suggestion. I doubt, if that many people were being killed by cruise missiles you were quibble over the religious beliefs of the guy in Missouri that pushed the button to launch the missile.

I've often wondered why the religious claims of someone trying to kill you is such an issue, whether he is "Muslim" or the functionary of a "Christian" nation. Dead is dead.

Would it hurt you to reject evil and embrace good?

Edited because I don't feel like getting into this. I will say I agree that it isn't the religion thatt's killing people. I also think the people within the religion should take responsibility for these acts and root out the bad seeds.

The day we ban Islam in America is the day I convert.

For me it isn't. I do not even beleive in Religion. I think it is just so many fairy tales myself.

But I was responding to LordInfamous who seems distraught over terrorists killim Muslims but then seems to want to eliminate Muslims. Seems like terrorist attacks are the most PC way to do that. What else is eliminating more Muslims than terrorist attacks?

I mean look, if someone could have dropped in on the Potsdam Conference and said to Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin "Pssssst, hey guys, listen, I know a way to get all the Germans to kill all the Japanese and vice versa, you guys can just sit back and watch..." Do you think they would listen?

Thank you for your dose of reason. I'd like to add that radicals are rounded up and imprisoned by governments in predominately Muslim countries every day. Western human rights groups protest their detention, advocating for their right of free speech. Muslim anti-terrorism activism is undercut or underplayed, while terrorist acts are sensationalized in the media. If it bleeds, it leads journalism gives short shrift to non-violent movements, leaving the impression that evil Muslims define Islam, and peaceful Muslims do nothing.

I was making a point that if "at the click of a button" somehow all Muslims were instantly non-religious there would be a lot less death in this world. I understand that terrorist Muslims only make up a small fraction out of the Muslim population. 1 out of every 24 people in the world is a Muslim. I'm guessing only 1 out of 50 million people (complete made up number) is a Muslim terrorist. But just because the Muslim extremist terrorists (pretty much THE WORST SCUM IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND) are only a small millionth of a fraction of Muslims doesn't change what they are doing (in the name of Islam and Allah).

I think it's pretty obvious that the religious extreme that are doing the most damage to the planet in terms of killing random people and blowing up buildings is the Muslim Extremists. You do have lunatics that are Christians or Jews that go out and kill people but the difference is they are not doing it based on an interpretation of their religious text.

What's being said is Islam has nothing to do with terrorism, which is both sweeping and factually wrong. At least according to the warped minds, watch that video, of the spiritual leadership behind Islamic Terrorist organizations.

What is implied or outright claimed is that saying so is somehow only ignorant bigotry, which is also sweeping and factually wrong.

Sadly there is a subset within Islam that believes and acts upon this religious interpretation of the Koran and believes violent Jihad is what the great prophet commanded until there is no other religion but Islam practiced on earth.

Quite simply, I don't think you are capable of stepping beyond your preconceived ideas. It's why you are in every thread where there is mention of Islam or Muslims, regular as clockwork, jumping on the back of the most outrageous statements and claims to push the same, tired old mantra.

Just give it a rest.

I have never claimed you shared the philosophy of terrorists, nor have I ever claimed you shared their religious view of Islam. I share no agenda with terrorists either and don't credit their interpretation of Islam with anything more than a factual acknowledgement that their interpretation is in fact a religious belief system, one that shares a common name, a common set of religious texts, and common God and Prophets with yours I.e. Islam, Allah and Mohamad.

If they share nothing else and there the similarities end that may also be fact, but the above does not change.

You used to talk about all those wonderful churches and happy Christians living in the Middle East and when a massacre takes place you start in with the "Crusades" line of reasoning before they before they can bury the dead. I don't blame the entire Islamic world for this but couldn't you have said something decent as a champion of religious tolerance in this country? If an educated and worldly individual like yourself can't manage that, it's going to a long way uphill to some kind of accomodation.
