Good Morning everyone!!

I'm having a hard time focusing on work today, the clock seems to be moving sooo slow!! My parents come into town today, and my mother just called and said they have been sitting on the plane for over an hour, and were told there is a security issue and they all need to deplane...perhaps I may be cooking Thanksgiving dinner after all :whistle: Speaking of Thanksgiving, a friend of mine and I were talking today about tomorrow and all the different foods we were going to eat, I'm so hungry now!! lol

Hey Mandy!

How are ya feeling? Well, I'm excited about the new MENA baby!! I would love to have another one but I had such a hard time getting pregnant in the past and well, I'm too dang old!!!!:lol: That's why there are 12 years between my daughter and son....Son was a BIG surprise cause I was told no more babies for me! That's ok, I'm in the grandma mode now!!! Waiting on my daughter to finally decide to begin a family!!:luv:

I hope everyone is having a great PRE Thanksgiving day! I'm not really looking forward to the food as much as being with my family and thinking how much closer Christmas is getting! Hubby did the greatest thing for me last night! He has heard me talking about Black Friday and me moaning how I have to work Friday and not to get to join the crowd at the stores in the wee hours in the morning, so he downloaded a new application on my iphone last night that lists ALL the stores that are having Black Friday specials and when they are available! I couldn't put my phone down with I saw that this morning!!!! I thought my son was playing with my phone and accidently downloaded something on it. I completely forgot he stayed the night with my parents!!:bonk:

When hubby called me at work this morning he asked me how I like the new application he put on there~ I love it!!!:luv: Now I can map out my game plan once I get out of work!!! HEH HEH!!

Ok, this day is just dragging by for me!!!

I'm feeling good thanks. You should tell your daughter to start giving you some grandbabies to spoil!! I don't know if you remember, but right before I went to Egypt I had surgery, and after the doctor told me that she thought I may have PCOS and may have a hard time getting pregnant, so we were all a bit surprised that it happened so fast.

How thoughtful of your husband, or maybe he is just hoping to get some good gifts out of it lol. I love shopping on Black Friday, I can remember as a kid some stores would open at midnight. Enjoy your family tomorrow!! :)

Hi Mandy and Andrea! What a wonderful surprise he did for you Andrea! That was soooo thoughtful :thumbs:

Mandy, where are your parents flying in from? Hope everything will go without delays. That's a pain!

Wael has a mid-term today, then no classes for a couple days. He's so excited to begin his black

Friday adventure! Ohhh how I love all the noise, people, screaming kids...etc...etc..!! But hey....it's what

black Friday is all about :lol:

Enjoy your day! Be careful out there!! There are "turkey's among us" and they aren't the ones who gobble!

We have so many idiot drivers that it's such an adventure just to get out on the road! And to add to the

madness Tucson has begun to add roundabouts. Ohhhhh it's like what were they thinking! These peeps

have problems with 4 way stops....now roundabouts...ouch!! :help:

Hi Jeanne,

I'm anxious to hear about your husbands black friday adventure, and what he thought of all the madness. My daughter is bugging to come with me and I'm debating if I should let her go. When I shop, I like to look and take my time or also get what I need, after a couple of hours she is complaining how tired she is, and I'm not in the mood to hear it lol, so we will see.

My parents are coming from Detroit, my mother just called and said they landed. From what she told me earlier, they had everyone on the plane, then the police came on and were talking to the pilot, after about 30 minutes they came back with TSA and took 12 people off the plane and were searching around thier seats and aisles, not sure what they were looking for, but thankfully they made it safely.

Oh, and I got an email from the embassy, they extended our petition approval (it was suppose to expire on 11/6), so thats a good thing. Mohamed should be back in Egypt in about a week so we can finally wrap this up

A belated thanks for all the welcomes! :) And I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. This was my first family holiday since I got engaged, so it was kind of fun as people started to notice the ring. It would have been so much better with my fiance, though!

I'm way too lazy to go out for Black Friday (especially on these icy roads) but Best Buy had quite a few items I would have liked!

Hello MENA, and Happy Black Friday!!!

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. My mother cooked and to my surprise it wasn't that bad lol. I started my shopping last night. Toys R Us opened at 10 pm, so my dauther and I got in line at 9, and waited over 2 hrs to get inside, finally got home around 1am, but got some good deals. Then slept for about 3 hrs before heading out again in the morning. Needless to say....I'm exhaused!!!

Happy Caturday MENA!!

Or should I say black Saturday/???? LOL!

I did actually get out for a couple of hours yesterday once I got out of work for Black Friday, but I saved my best for today!!! I think I over spent myself!!!

I have bought enough for hubby and my son!! And a few things for me!! :lol: I have learned if there is something I want for Christmas to go out and buy it. Even if I have to wrap it myself!!!!

Anyways hope everyone is having a great weekend!!!

Good evening! Happy Saturday (almost Sunday) to all!

Wael is doing research at the UofA library so thought I would come on to see what's happening in MENA!

Andrea, Wael did better than me! He drove around for over 30 mins just trying to find a place to park...he was

so in the shopping mode. Looked around a few stores at the mall and we had a late lunch, then off to another

mall. Found some items for him for Christmas and a few other things that I will go back by myself to get.

As we were walking to the first mall, we noticed someone had literally stuffed their packages in their trunk and

the trunk had come open....packages all over by the car and the street. I wondered if someone came by and

decided they had "freebies"!!!!!!!!!!! Can you imagine coming back to your car and everything is gone!

Also, we were waiting for a lady in front of us to pull into this parking place. Just as she was going this other

car from the opposite direction pulled right into the space in front of her!!!!!!!!!! I thought...ohhh ***** what a way

to begin our shopping! She was screaming and honking her horn and thought she was going to get out and

take on the guy who got "her" parking spot! Got out of there as fast as we could!

It was nice to get home :yes: Wael is already talking about going to the "after Christmas sales"!!!!!!!!! What a man!!!

Got new tires for my car today and had the brakes checked. I'm good to go!!

Wael has his appt for his GMAT testing Jan 6. He's a busy guy.

Sure hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Hello Mena. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving holiday. Hachemi and I are finishing up our 3 week visit to Algeria. I really missed having a big Thanksgiving spread but I certainly have enjoyed all my mom in laws great Algerian meals. I have been trying to get all our belongings and gifts packed up because we head to Algiers in the morning and fly back to the states Tuesday morning. I wanted to share with you some pictures of my favorite pastry shop and market here in setif.

Happy Sunday MENA!

Meriem the pictures are great!! I love open markets like that! All the great veggies and the desserts, Yum!

Jeanne~ wow I would have freaked if I came back to my car and found the trunk popped open!! Oh man I feel sorry for that person!

So glad Wael had a great time shopping.

Me and Sameh had done alot of shopping the past 2 days...I truly can say my CC is now officially crying!! As Sameh says, well it is christmas! All I can say is that we spent between the 2 of us over $1200 :crying: :crying:

It was things we needed and we have put off until the sales for Christmas though. The only funny thing about that is Sameh thought he was going to come home and "check" things out and he was TRULY disappointed when I took everything and put it away in the closet for wrapping!!!:lol: Gotta wait for Christmas!!! Yeah, I'm mean like that. Even did it to my son!! :luv:

I'm trying to finish up trimming the tree today. So far got the lights, garland and a couple of ornaments on it, but kind of stopped right there...I might get it done today! :bonk:

If I don't get on during the week (busy at the hospital again!) I'll check in before the weekend!!
