I don't think you can get home loan in Vietnam. Everyone buys house in Vietnam with cash. I don't bingo is illegal but I am not sure on that.

Organized gambling of any kind is illegal except for foreigners. You can set up a business that caters to foreigners, but it has to be a joint business with the VN government. They call them "Joint Stock" companies.

I've never heard of anyone getting a home loan in Vietnam. It would be a risky thing for a bank, since you don't really "own" a home in Vietnam. The government owns everything. What you own is a red paper that gives you the right to live in the home, and to sell that right to someone else. My wife is going through a bunch of ####### with her home right now. She's not there, and the local government officials won't let her family get the red paper for her. They know she's in America, and they want a truckload of coffee money before they'll issue the paper. We may not get back until next summer, and I know those vampires are going to suck me dry - well into four figures!

Don't know what to tell you about the Kodak printer.

1. If you have ALL the connection in VN.. you can open Bingo, Tien Len, 13 cards, or whatever you want to do on gamble business.

2. There is a home loan bank in VN. BUt the interest rates is very high. like HSBC, Citibank, and etc. 99% of Vietnamese living in VN paying CASH for their house. So good luck, and I am 100% sure, there is a home loan in VN.

3. About your printer font, you need to setup the font on the printer not the windows, or do the manufacturing reset button on your printer.

hope these 3 answers will help you out.

good luck..

Are you sure you want to live in Vietnam? Usually, people want to move to the U.S--not the other way around. With this say, it is not easy to make a living in Vietnam without a foundation--you need connection and plenty of cash.

I came here with 2K, so you don't really need that much.

Home loans are possible, but I don't know that much about them. I do know that my bank pays 11% per annum on a standard CD, so the loans they make may be high as well.

I certainly don't recommend ACB. I only bank with them because I am forced to by my employer.

Not sure about bingo either. Remember the motto: Vietnam. Everything's illegal and anything's possible.

I have just looked into it, and HSBC wants 30% down with a minimum 900 million dong loan, and you must make at least 10 million a month, this would be combined income yours and hers. It is actually kinda simple and painless. Hope this helps! Jerome
