If my wife can get the same day oath on 4/13 we might, Might, MIGHT not be the last ones finished in this thread. :thumbs: Not sure how the other oath ceremonies will play out so it will be close. I'm wondering if early bio did screw us up somehow.

I was listening to the Allen Hunt show with my wife on the way home today and he was talking about the citizenship test and how absurd some of the questions are for citizenship. Anyway he stated that 47% of the country would not be able to pass the test. My 4 year-old has gotten pretty good with the questions tho..

Oath completed on the 25th.

Im glad that this citizenship thingy is a once in a lifetime affair coz i couldnt sit through another 4 hour long tedious pathetic oath ceremony....nothing solemn or serious about it.

I sat there and wondered why they even called it an oath ceremony...

One lady was in a red nike sweat pants, another 3 or 4 ppl were in jeans, a few looked like they rolled out of bed directly into this room.

I went in at 8.50 am left the bldg at 12.45 pm...went thro security checks worse than at airports because it was in a new court bldg in NYC where we were told about 5 times that very high profile terrorist cases are currently being tried hence no PICTURES CAN BE TAKEN....

So I dont have a single picture of this day.

There were about 200+ people there to take oath. Familes and friends had to sit separately. It was a huge auditorium kind of room

After all the processing and drama, the judge walks in, tells us all he is not going to say much since he joust got back from the dentist and is in pain.

He reads something from a paper, no one was even listening after a 4 hour wait....then he walks out..no National anthem, no hand shaking ..nothing, zip, zilch....

Then 3 court officers take 3 mikes and start calling out names...it was like a cattle auction, who shouts a name louder gets a sale......I heard my name coming from a left side, ran in that direction and saw my cert on the table, picked it up and walked out....as I walked out to look for my husband i saw my poor husband sitting in a corner asleep....thats how interesting this day was.

SO that was my experience....glad this immig BS is done with.

Updated SS and applied for my passport today.

If someone can be kind enough to change my timeline to red I will greatly appreciate it.

I called USCIS today and all they did was read exactly what's online about getting an interview letter, if I asked a question, he would just repeat what he already said. I am now convinced that they train their phone operators in the best ways to annoy the customers!

Anyone have any experience waiting so long for an oath letter?

I am new, but I was been watching your move to make sure that I am not the only one in TN who is waiting that long. I was very encourage to see your post today. May be you can help to post my timing on the Lewsville,TX board. I did my interview Jan 26,2011 and I saw you doing it just few days after me. TN is taking longer I spoke with 3 courts,the next dates for the ceremonies in EASTERN District COURTs :

Chatanoonga: April 28 at 1000am and another at 1300.

Knoxville: August 19

Greenville: May 11 at 1000am

My prayers is to get the April one,but if no luck then May 11, what is the closest to me. I wanted to encourage you as well as you just did without knowing that for me. Please if you can update me on the Board:11/01/2010 sent N-400, Check: N/A (money order), NOA 11/08/2010, FP 12/06/2010/ IL 12/27/2010/

INTERVIEW 01/26/2011 passed and I was told to wait 30 to 60 days for Oath letter. So far nothing.Crossing my finger.

East TN JCTY, it does make me feel better knowing that I'm not the only one who hasn't moved in months! I guess the Memphis office is just taking their time with the Oaths. It is weird that all the other steps seem to be going really quickly up until it's some for the oath, my parents started their application a little while ago and they're doing their interviews next week (got interview letter less than a week after fingerprints).

Well fingers crossed that we get scheduled for the soonest oath! I thought I heard somewhere that Nashville has ceremonies fairly often, I wouldn't mind the drive from Knoxville to Nashville.

I had my interview today at the US Embassy in Seoul (South Korea), and the IO was kind enough to make us feel at home and told us not to be nervous at all.

First off he confirmed first all of the information on my application, then he started asking me the 6 questions, made me read a line ("What state has the most people?"), and dictated to write down a sentence.

He took my greencard, punched a hole on it and kept it with the rest of my file.

After that, he made me sign on a couple of papers and handed me a letter telling me when and where the oath-taking will take place.

Congratulations again on everyone who's done with the journey and wishing goodluck to all those who will still be taking the interviews.

Just keep reading the 100 questions and you'll do just fine.

East TN JCTY, it does make me feel better knowing that I'm not the only one who hasn't moved in months! I guess the Memphis office is just taking their time with the Oaths. It is weird that all the other steps seem to be going really quickly up until it's some for the oath, my parents started their application a little while ago and they're doing their interviews next week (got interview letter less than a week after fingerprints).

TN_ Canadian, You are correct, TN is faster on the early stages,but when they get to Oath: WAY TOO SLOW. Nashville had 2 ceremonies on March 24 th and 25 th. I think they are trying to get everyone to thier closest Areas.We did walk in for my spouse FP on Feb 28 (charlote,NC). On March 2nd the online and text message for Case trasfered for Interview on April 07 (Memphis). We were shock that fast for Bio to update for IL. I am amptent to say that may be your parents and my spouse will be in the same Oath ceremony not the 2 months....wait. We will see,We will keep praying may be is SOON, and we can meet ON THAT BIG DAY...Hoping for the best.

Tennessee is fast all the way around... unless the applicant has issues and so causes a delay to competition I. have my Interview date on March 31, 2011 and I'm sure to be in the oath ceremony that will be on April 21, 2011 to make it 2 1/2 months to complete the process.
