N-400 November 2010 Filers

Okay I have a few questions for the group since ALL of you are further along than my wife.

On our interview letter she is asked to bring a few things. We never received a yellow letter so not even sure what those look like.

*This letter (okay, sure)

*Your Alien Registration card (Not a problem)

*Any evidence of Selective Service Registration(Is this on EVERY letter...I'll explain why I am curious later)

*Your passport and/or any document you used in connection with any entries into the United States(easy)

*Those items noted below that are applicable to you:

If applying for naturalization as the spouse of a U.S. citizen:

*Your marriage certificate(okay, easy)

*Proof of death or divorce for each prior marriage of yourself or spouse (No problem)

*Spouses birth certificate ( Can do)

All of the above requirements seem easy as pie. Is this ALL we need to take to her interview. I'm also concerned about the selective service note as USCIS made not one but two mistakes on the 2-year GC and the 10-year GC. They had my wife's sex on the card as M instead of F. She received a reminder after the first green card to sign up for selective service. I had to file a form each time to get USCIS to issue a corrected GC since they made a mistake. I'm wondering if the selective service comment is a reminder that they still have it screwed up and we will AGAIN have problems with the citizenship. So, is this a comment on ALL interview letters about secret service?

To the other Atlanta applicant in this thread, F@rsc@p3, was your interview on Parklake Drive, NE. Did you ask for same day oath or was it just offered. Also, what documentation did you take along.

Hopefully everything goes well and she gets the same day oath...Mine was at 10:45, but I was called at 10:20. They only asked me for my passports (current and expired one), my green card, my DL and he also took my expired conditional green card away. I did bring all the original papers I sent with the application though.

Dont worry about the yellow letter, I got one, took the requested papers and he said he didnt want to see it.

I took exactly the same docs listed below...take originals of Marriage, Birth and divorce papers.

He never even asked me for mine, but take it anyways.

Also take a copy of of all the originals.

Please ask her to take her Drivers license or State issued ID.

make copies of it as well.

What he did take from me was Proof that we were married and living together

He asked for bills/docs pertaining to 2010.

I gave him Medical Insurance bills/Bank Statements of a joint account and phone bills...he said that was enough.

If you have Life Insurance, Mortgage etc, take that...take copies as he will put them in your file.

And of course the 3 years of Tax transcripts.

YES ALL INTERVIEW LETTERS ASK YOU ABOUT SELECTIVE SERVICE....its a standard line they put on all letters.

Since they did rectify the sex to F on the final GC she shouldnt have a problem...so dont worry about it.

98% of the OO's are pretty decent and nice to you.

The whole drama is over in 15 mins. Tell her to relax and be calm and she will be absolutely fine.

Just got the oath letter.

Oath is at 9 am on March 25th.

Pleasantly surprised since the IO told me just last week that I am scheduled for end of April/Early May.

Can someone here be kind enough to update my time line.

My IO also told me that it would be April if not May for sure... The oath ceremonies are scheduled for 3/23 4/12/ 5/25 in Tampa.

3/23 sure would be nice since I won't have to worry about it with move and stuff... LOL

Oh well... Gotta wait for my letter. Looks like I should get the letter at the end of the week... Mmm... my last week of checking mail box like I'm obsessed with it...

Hi all,

My wife's interview is coming up in 12 April. We just received a N-659 checklist telling my wife to bring among other evidences:

1. IRS form 1722 listing the tax information for the last 3 years. Question is : is this equivalent to taxscripts..since my wife already has these? anyone brought form IRS 1722 to the interview?

2. Proof of marital union as well of proof of residence. Can anyone provide examples of what they brought previous interview in related to this evidence request?
