N-400 November 2010 Filers

Hi everyone. I've been checking this forum since i filed my application last November too. Can you add me up.

Nov. 18, 2010 -n400 application sent at Phoenix, AZ local field is Chicago,Ill (90 days before my green card turns 3 years old: married usc)

Nov. 22, 2010 -check cashed

Dec. 6, 2010 -noa1

Dec. 10,2010 -biometric letter received

Dec. 20, 2010 -FP

It's been a month since my fp and i haven't received any letter for interview. I was worried that the letter might have been lost on it's way here especially that it seems all filers in Phoenix got theirs, i called the 1-800 number. I asked for a 2-tier but the call rep. insisted that she might be able to help so i told her my case. She kept on telling me what was on the website about requesting an evidence and i told her several times that i already did my biometric. After talking with her for like 10 minutes I just asked her to transfer me to the 2-tier and she did. I've waited 45 minutes :crying: to speak to a person..and thank God I still had that very little patience left to wait before I decided to hang the phone. :wacko: .She asked my infos and then i told her regarding not having my interview letter until now. She said I am already in line and based on the record I'll be having my interview on March 21! that far... :crying: She said an interview letter hasn't been mailed but I'll get it in a few days. I asked if they can move it to an earlier sched but she said I can make a request but i might ended up having the interview on April. Oh well I told her, i'll just wait for that one in March :whistle: ...If you guys had been waiting for a while it is best to call the 1-800 number and ask for level 2 or 2-tier.

You shouldnt panic at all..

A lot of us in Nov did our FP 2 months ago and havent received a letter...

You just did your FP on Dec 20th....

Considering when I did mine I should hang myself....

And then when i called she said she cant give me a date!!!!...atleast she gave you a date..whether it is right or just a ploy to shut you up..she gave you a date....

So hang in there...you will get it.

After doing little research, I didn't realize that citizenship oaths are actually done in an actual court and they have TWO ceremonies EVERY WEEK!, at least here at Columbus. Each ceremony typically has about 300 people! :wow:

yup you are right...I notice too that with those who filed at Texas, it seems like it's very slow... It's just I'm on my 8th month of pregnancy and kind of worried that I might give birth during the interview..lol..I just hope it's true what she told me..oh well as you said i'll just better wait and if i get into labor on that the same day we'll just reschedule it . I pray for all of us guys to be able to finish this and become a USC:)

Ivyvid...they will call you and you will get the approval and you will have a hassle free delivery in a hospital and not in the interview room and you will have a beautiful healthy baby..that is my wish, prayer and prediction for you.

Yes its aggravating to wait but other than making you a USC thats the next thing USCIS tries to instill in you..the virtue of patience.

You are not late and you didnt file in Texas so its good.

Dont panic, just take a deep breath and wait....Its easy for me to say it even though I cant practice it...lol

There is not much you can do once the papers leave your hands....we are at the mercy and convenience of the USCIS.

ok so against my better judgement I called USCIS again this morning..now I wish I hadnt....I am so annoyed and I need to vent.

I give the Lady my story and when she hears I got the infamous yellow letter she tells me that she needs to escalate my case to a senior tier person.

I am kind thrilled that someone is taking me seriously.

So 2nd tier Agent 'Know it all' comes on the phone....after the first 2 minutes of the basic mundane details like name, address, country of birth, receipt # etc he tells me that the yellow letter is given at the start of the process!..say what!!

I tell "Agent Know it All" that many folks are getting interview letters when they filed a month after me and I was of the understanding that the interview letter closely follows the yellow letter.

He gave this 6 minute lecture on how all of us are different...how are finger prints are different ( geez I didnt know that!!) how our names are different, our travels and arrest records are different so interview and processing times are different!!!!!! ( is this man for real??? )

Little does he know that my name is not complicated or going to pop up on any no fly list or most wanted list, Never been arrested ever or even stopped/ questioned by a police officer, nor even seen the inside of a police precinct, no traffic tickets or tickets of any kind, no debt collector chasing me, no past due bills, travelled only once for 10 days out of the country since the time this BS process started...

He says that I shouldnt expect anything or be in a rush for 5 months as that is the normal processing time taken.

He goes on and on about the 5 month period and how I shouldnt ' realistically' hope for anything before 5 months...yes he used that word REALISTICALLY like 18 times...

Then in a hurry he ends the call asking me to have a 'FANTASTIC' day....

Who hires these people???

I am not going to call them till my 5 month time period is up...Hope 'Agent Know it all' is happy.

Reposting yesterdays post that ended up looking like an alien language...

Since CAN-FL Girl and I have similar timelines I decided to call USCIS this morning.

I managed to speak with a person after 24 minutes on hold.Told her that my FP was done almost 2 months ago, LUD was Nov 16th and I got the yellow letter dated Dec 29th...but no Interview date as yet and I was concerned if a letter was mailed out and lost in the mail etc.

The first thing she said was " for N400 DO NOT DEPEND ON THE ONLINE STATUS"....she said that for N400 it rarely changes and most often stays at Request for evidence and is not reliable.

She said that I am in line for an Interview and that no other evidence was required. All I have to do is wait. They are scheduling Interview dates and I will hear from them once its done but she couldnt give me a time frame!!!

So for all of those folks who like me are checking their online status..dont panic..that system sucks....

She kinda cut me off and left me feeling like I need to call again and talk to another person who might be a bit more sympathetic. Should Ic all again or should I wait for another month.

its being long i haven't check my status as i heard from you guys about the status change infact they dont bother to even update it. So here is the update got a letter yesterday and was about my interview be held on 2-22-11. Can somone please update my information received int. letter 1-20-11 interview date 2-22-11.
