Mo007 what's the word on early biometrics? We are all waiting for your report!

Hi everybody ! this is my first time using this forum

Hi NickD it seems that we have sent the n 400 the same day and at the same office. i dont have any answer yet.

I payed the form with a usps money order.... so i dont know if uscis has cashed it or not.i can not track it.i hope everything is fine and they cash mine today like yours.

One good reason to pay by personal check besides having to run into town and pay a couple of bucks for a money order. USCIS has some deal where your application is not accepted until the check clears and they do this instantly with an electronic transfer. The instant that happens shows up in my account, already printed out the check as proof they received and accepted the funds, and have proof that indeed we paid the fees and they accepted them just in case they misplaced our application. Not that they already have misplaced our application twice since we started this process.

Wrote on the back of the check, N-400 application fee for my step daughters' name and her alien number as additional proof.

Practically any bank in town, think we have more banks than bars, offers free checking with a minimum balance, but they don't pay interest. So just keep enough in there to pay my bills and the minimum balance. The rest goes into our savings account where we are earning an incredible 1.5% interest.

lol. Definitely not nice to keep my friends waiting.

Well, as I reported before, I got my FP letter last Monday (Nov 22nd) for Dec 15th. So I decided and planned to go the following Monday (Nov 29th), however I googled federal holidays, and today (Fri Nov 26th) wasn't listed. So I got out of the bed this morning, and headed to the address that was provided in my FP letter. Here is what happend next:

10:00 am: I parked the car on the street outside the building. Threw 2 quarters into the parking meter (30 mins).

10:02: I was in the building and saw only person ahead of me. Explained to the lady why I was early "I'm a dentist, I have a busy schedule during the week except this time of the year", lady was nice and smiles "it's always nice to get things done early", she gives me a 1-page form that took about 30 seconds to complete. She then stamps my original FP letter with today's date.

10:05: I was asked to come-up and get the FP's take. All 10 fingers were taken, and my name was verified, a picture was taken on a cool Canon SLR camera (was told to smile, but no teeth showing). I was asked if I'm ok with the way my picture came out.

10:10: Was given all my papers back and Naturalization test paperwork, and a yellow feedback card about the service. Checked excellent service all the way down.

10:11: I was back in my car, with still 19 mins on the meter.

Looking forward to the next step.
