Yesterday I went to get my driver's licence renewed and it turned out to be easy peasy. I had heard that, in NJ, you could not get your driver's licence renewed with the extension letter, that you needed the green card. My licence expires tomorrow so I was waiting until the last minute in the hopes that my card would magically arrive in time but it turned out I didn't need it. As it turned out the extension letter worked. They only renewed my licence for a year so I have the pleasure of going back next May, but I'm so relieved that it wasn't a hassle. Whew. I can't believe how much stress I caused myself worrying about that.

Still waiting for my approval. It will be 6 months on the 19th, so I will give them a call then. But I'm nowhere near as stressed about getting my card now. Big sigh. Still annoyed when I see approvals for people who filed a month later than me, but good for them! Go VSC go! :dance:

Updating ... Card received today. This is a big day! :) The little envelope that you're supposed to carry it in says, "We recommend use of this envelope to protect your new card and to prevent wireless communication with it." Someone can communicate wirelessly with my card? Yikes.

Also updating TigerTeddyBears card received date and Tanyaru's approval (I put down 5/11 as that's the date of the posting, but not sure if that's right)

Only 11 more to go for November for VSC. Even CSC approvals have slowed to a crawl with the last approval being 4/14. What's up with that?
