Received 10 YR greencard on March 8th (International Womens Day). Made for a nice gift for the wife.

Received the official Approval letter today.

We received my Greencard today  As well as the welcome letter. It was approved on my birthday (Mar 04) Btw, my receipt no. didnt work online at all, so no email notification for us. Finally done with uscis for awhile. we're so happy.Thanks for giving me the courage to do the filing all by ourselves. You guys saved me from giving my lawyer $2500 to do it for me. what a ripped off 

Im sorry for those who recvd rfes. Here's what we sent,

copies of the ff: my temp greencard, Apt lease both

previous and current, car title, 2 car registrations, Bank

statements for the last 3 months for our joint checking &

savings acct, copies of 3 of our credit cards, Auto loan, Life insurance, car insurance, dental insurance, tax returns for 08 & 09. Goodluck!!!

I just checked our status on-line saw "On March 9, 2011, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you." I was certain that our late bio appointment date would make us one of the last, even though we were early November filers. There is no predicting what VSC will do. To all of those still waiting, it'll happen soon!

Hi everyone. Unfortunately we got a RFE yesterday 03/11/2011. We are not sure what else to send them since we already sent everything that we can think of. Anyway what I'm wondering is why I cannot check the status of the petition online. I keep getting * Customer Portfolio Insert Failed * Attempting to add a case that does not exist. Check the application receipt number. can someone help me please???

@geostefan. My Receipt number didnt work online too. I kept checking it & got the same message that the number does not exist but i recvd my card in the mail the other day. I've read that it does happen with alot of people.

Anyway, I also got an RFE (December filer) and there has been no updated to my case online at all.

Sorry to hear about your RFE. We just got approved last week. Here is the list of items we sent in. I hope they help.

1. Copy of Permanent Resident Card of my wife.

2. Copy of our joint US tax return transcripts for the year 2008 and 2009.

3. Original Verification of Account issued by my bank verifying details of our joint account.

4. Copies of joint bank account statements.

5. Copy of Home Equity Loan Agreement.

6. Copy of the title of our car, showing joint ownership.

7. Copy of Health and Life Insurance Plans Enrollment and Beneficiary Confirmation Notices.

8. Copies of Voluntary Investment Plan (401k) beneficiary designations.

9. Copies of IRA and Roth IRA Beneficiary designations.

10. Copies of medical bills showing my wife as patient.

11. Copy of our Driver's Licenses showing same address.

12. Copies of auto, homeowner, and umbrella insurance policies with both our names.

13. Copies of electricity and utilities bills.

14. Original affidavits by three U.S. citizen friends, attesting to our relationship and marriage.

15. Records of our vacations during the years of 2008, 2009 and 2010, including itineraries, boarding passes issued by various airlines, and some pictures taken during the relevant vacations and our daily life.

Thanks for the list :thumbs: That's very helpful! I didn't keep any of my medical bills, but I can send copies of EOBs showing that I filed medical claims on my husband's insurance. My husband went to our bank to ask for a verification of account showing that we have a joint bank account and they had no idea what he was talking about Well, our bank is a small town operation. We did already submit copies of bank statements showing that we have a joint bank account, though. I will also send vacation itineraries and this time we are adding affidavits too. We probably won't be sending our new package out until next weekend because it will take some time to get the affidavits signed and notarized. Hopefully this time the outcome will be more positive
