I voted for one but in facts it's all of the above.. apart from wrestling lol

10 year Green Card received, Next step is citizenship urgh!

Not sure my "stage" is represented but I think I keep coming back because it's a comfort, a constant, an escape and a habit. I do come to check on friends as well.

I will vote if I can figure out what my answer should be to the second question. My answer to the third question would actually be "all of the above (except Rick Flair)"

Sept. 2003 - meet online, become friends

May 2004 - we have grown close

Nov. 2004 - Tom books a flight to Michigan for Jan. 2005

Jan. 17, 2005 - first meeting at the Detroit Airport, 16 days together!

Feb. 2. 2005 - Tom returns to London. We start investigating our options

April 7, 2005 - Tom arrives for another visit.

April 8, 2005 - engaged.

April 26, 2005 - K1 sent to Nebrasksa. Tom flies back to London :(

May 6, 2005 - NOA1

June 14, 2005 - Tom returns to the USA:)

July 5, 2005 - Tom goes back to London :(

July 25, 2005 - NOA2 email- waited 3 months

Aug. 22, 2005 - Tom receives Packet 3

Sept. 6, 2005 - Packet 3 sent to Embassy

Oct. 20, 2005 - medical in London -booked 7 weeks earlier!

Nov. 9, 2005 - email embassy - have we have been forgotten?

Nov. 15, 2005 - Mary flies to London (Brixton) for 12 weeks

Nov. 18, 2005 - embassy replies to email, date assigned

Nov. 22, 2005 - Packet 4 received

Nov. 25, 2005 - interview in London - DENIED :(

Nov. 30, 2005 - mailed waiver

Feb. 6, 2006 - still waiting for decision. Mary extends stay from Feb. 7 to March 21

March 3, 2006 - WAIVER DENIED :(

March 2006 - Mary extends UK stay again. We rent a house near London (Gravesend) and move.

May 10th - Mary returns to USA - torn apart again

June 27, 2006 - Mary receives UK fiance visa

July 31,2006 - Mary sells house in USA

Sept. 1, 2006 - Mary moves to UK

Oct. 9, 2006 - wedding

I use the Guides and FAQ's a lot - but its MOSTLY the Drama! Thats what keeps me coming back. One of these days I just may work up the nerve to post one of those cute smiley's eating popcorn - until then, I'm just a lurker. :P

01-23-06 I-130 Approved (via email on Friday the 13th) (Got to NVC 2/6/06)

01-27-06 Still Waiting - 80th day of A/R

02-08-06 You have got to be kidding me.......

02-16-06 Receive letter from Embassy to return with emails and passports! (DOS complete 1/12/06)

02-19-06 Flight from Karachi to Islamabad

02-21-06 Drops off recent chats and old passport at Embassy

02-21-06 Embassy Issues Visa!!! YaaaaFreeeakinHooo!

02-22-06 Flight from ISL to Karachi (dont get me started on why they could not just hand him his passport yesterday)

02-23-06 - Argue with AMEX for an hour to make them look for the embassy shipment

02-28-06 - He's here..... now off to AOS!

05-12-06 - EAD Card Received

07-23-06 - After 10 weeks, SSN in hand!

07-25-06 - AOS Interview

07-25-06 - AOS 'semi-approved' waiting FBI name check GRR!!

09-23-06 - Welcome Notice in the Mail!!!

08-04-08 NOA 1 Removing Conditions

08-28-08 Bio Appt

01-02-09 Nothing, not even a touch! I was really hoping one step would go smooth.

01-27-09 CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED!!! Yaahoo, finally!!! Next Step Naturalization.

11-09-09 N-400 Delivered - Phoenix

03-16-10 Oath Ceremony - Denver CO - DONE! DONE! DONE!

I guess my reason have changed somewhat over the time I have been coming here....at first it was purely because i was filling in my immigration forms because I thought we would be leaving for the US in Aug '04....well that didn't happen and now it looks like Aug '09 :unsure:

So my reason for still being here? I have loved getting to know ppl at the start of their journeys and see it to the end! Esp cyberwaving the Brits off to their loved ones at last :lol:

Hell....it's like a soap opera on here.....tears, fights, laughter, ftriendships and weddings....what more does need on a message board? :P

It was a great blessing to me actually when we moved to this new town last year away from all my friends and familly....esp when I wasn't working and lonely as hell.

11/21/06- EAD approved

03/19/09- Recieved letter stating I-751 transfered to CSC

03/30/09- I-751 approved!

04/02/09- Recieved approval letter

04/30/09- Recieved new card

10/14/09- Sent N-400... the wait begins again.....

10/24/09- Recieved NOA receipt letter

02/05/10- Recieved Fingerprint notification

02/23/10- Fingerprinting appointment

04/07/10- N-400 Interview

10/07/10- Request for aditional evidencce

02/07/11- Oath Ceremony letter arrives!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't know what stage I was in...I put lifting conditions, but I don't know.

As for VJ. At first it was PURELY informational. Without VJ I would have never even known where to start.

Now - pure unadulterated entertainment.

I love it...although it's gotten REALLY whiney lately...

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

Aug. 09, 2018: Oath Ceremony

Especially now that my immigration journey is over (and has been, as of November 2009, when I became a US Citizen)!...

Really, I wonder: "What am I doing still here on VJ?".... :wacko:

Regardless, my answers to this poll is as follows....

Stage of Marriage Based Immigration Process: Ummm...Post-Naturalization...Already a US Citizen...

(but I had to choose Naturalization for this poll, as that was the answer that was the closest to my stage)

Why I'm usually here: Answer the questions of others...

(Yes, I enjoy helping others on VJ, just as the VJ community has helped me over the years during my immigration journey!...)
