What is the best/cheapest/fast way to send things between the States and Nicaragua? And example of price and time, please!!!

07-23-2008 - Met in San Isidro, Nicaragua.

10-11-2008 - Officially Dating!

07-09-2009 - Engaged!

05-22-2010 - Married in San Isidro, Nicaragua!

11-29-2010 - Mailed I-130 Package.

12-01-2010 - I-130 Confirmation Delieverd to Lockbox; NOA1 Priority Date

12-13-2010 - Email Notification from USCIS for NOA1. Off to California!

12-17-2010 - NOA1 (Hard Copy) Received.

I suggest checking the UPS, FedEx, USPS, and DHL websites for the type(s) of mail to be sent.

What is the best/cheapest/fast way to send things between the States and Nicaragua? And example of price and time, please!!!

Just a quick search of FedEx and UPS the rates are about the same as Colombia. For a standard FedEx or UPS Envelope weighing no more than one pound it will cost you about $70. All the mail goes via air and will be passed to the courier's local,private, carrier. You could get it there cheaper using the U.S. Postal Service but they deliver it to the host country's (in this case Nicuragua) postal service. In many countries this can be frought with dangers since mail tampering is a big concern. Best thing to do, if you absolutely have to mail something make sure you do it all in one mailing. Good luck

Oh, my goodness!!! gracias por la informacion!! knowing that is a lifesaver! I was thinking my husband was going to have to pay about $100 to have stuff sent here.

We used Fedex, for an envelope it takes only 2 business days and its $40.00
