I'm going over the bank letter and am wondering if what the employee typed is sufficient. Here is what he typed up (I'm leaving personal info blank so hopefully it will still make sense....

To Whom It May Concern,

Melissa ...... is a client of PNC Bank and is in good standing. Her account has been established since 2006, with a 2010 average balance of $....., and a current balance of $.......

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at (...)...-....

Just as a side note I am above the poverty line, but thought I had needed this bank letter and wanted to still provide it, but am not sure if that was sufficient above.

Any help would be greatly appreciated....

Is it on bank letterhead ? Does it list the title/position of the person involved ?

If you do qualify on income and have recent paystubs to document current income then the bank letter isn't needed. The format of the letter is correct.

Also, if your checking account balance is like mine (not that huge), then it won't be all that big a difference. Though it cannot hurt.

I am over it, but not by a huge amount 22,000.00. It needs to be 18,000.00 so since it wasn't over by a huge amount I thought the letter wouldn't hurt.

Thanks for the help guys... :)

I just sent everything DHL two weeks ago, he has packed up his place and is with his family in the meantime. HEY!!!! Ours is on the 19th too!!! lol It's at 9am in Nicosia, Northern Cyprus. I am a nervous wreck too and keep making sure I have all of the paperwork in order. Which I know I do, but I can't help to double and triple check it!!! We are, also, reviewing possible questions. As I've said a million times, I won't take NO for an answer..... I want to hear YES YES YES!!!!

I wish you two the best as well and I will be thinking of you guys too on that day!

Oh, that is the 125% over the poverty line that you have to meet for a household of two people. It may not be an even $18,000.00. I was just rounding it off. It isn't over $19,000.00, though.

Hey, do you mean your current bank account balance has to be $18,000, or do you mean the yearly income? Thanks.

Oh okay, but the $18,000 is what you make in a year to qualify, right? It's not like you have to have $18,000 in your bank account at the time you file, right? Also, since I am pregnant, I was wondering when I file the I-134 will I need to claim for 2 people or 3 people since if I claim 2 people, the baby will probably be born shortly afterwards. Will that cause problems or should I claim for 3 people from the start, even before the baby is born? Thanks.

Yes, that is your yearly income needed not what you have in your bank account.

Thank you for answering the second part to the question. I wouldn't have known it.... :)
