The good citizens of Texas just had to pay some $240,000 because of such un-American activity. (not to mention un-constitutional)

Hell, even the ACLU of TX was in part bringing this action against these Speech codes.

Ah, but there's a difference between a handwritten, one-off sign with a single case of bad spelling/grammar and a typed, mass-reproduced slogan, with a misprunt in it.

One just makes it's bearer look stupid, while the other makes the people responsible for designing it, checking it, printing it and everyone who uses it look stupid. Orders of magnitude.
