I got a question here.My friend now is a petitioner for his wife.So can he be also my co-sponsor since my husband's income doesnt meet poverty line while his does for 3 people, him, his wife and me?

11/8/10: Medical exam

11/12/10:Get married

11/19/10: I-693 sealed.It means my chest x ray is fine :)

11/20/10: Package [ I-130,I-485,I-765] sent to Lockbox

11/22/10 [Day 1]: Delivered there

11/29/10 [Day 7]: Return receipt from USPS

12/13/10 [Day 21]: Texts and email received [ after 21 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!]

12/16/10 [Day 24]: Snail copy received

12/18/10 [Day 26]: Every single form touched

12/20/10 [Day 28]: Biometrics letter received

1/13/11 [Day 51]: Biometrics done

1/24/11 [Day 62]: Biometrcis appointment received AGAIN.!!!!!!!!!I was like #######

2/04/11 [Day 72]: Second biometrics done

2/15/11 [Day 83]: EAD in production.

2/18/11 [Day 86]: Interview letter received, set for March 21

2/22/11 [Day 90]: EAD mailed out.

2/25/11 [Day 93]: EAD received

3/21/11 [Day 118]: Interview but left with no decision ToT

3/31/11 [Day 128]: RFE regarding police clearance

4/13/11 [Day 141]: RFE sent

4/19/11 [Day 147]: Card in production

4/22/11 [Day 150]: Welcome2USA letter received

It took 5 stressful months exactly.

They will ask you on the I-864 about who else they sponsor, so I think you should be able to do it. However, I don't think that you should count yourself in his total people because you are not a dependent for any of them.

They will ask you on the I-864 about who else they sponsor, so I think you should be able to do it. However, I don't think that you should count yourself in his total people because you are not a dependent for any of them.

No, her friend is her co-sponsor so she will be counted in his house hold size. So it will become 3(him,his wife and her).So her friend's income should be above the poverty line for size 3. And also once giving sponsor to you ,he can(will) do sponsor for his wife as he will be petitioner for her. If his income is like above the poverty line for size 4 then i think it should not be a problem in ur case and in his wife case. Even though let us know your friend's 2009 income & current income.

07-30-14 -> AOS Package Sent.
07-31-14 -> AOS Package delivered.
09-15-14 -> IV fee Payment.

09-17-14 -> IV fee Shows PAID.

09-18-14 -> IV Package Sent.
09-20-14 -> IV Package Delivered.

10-20-14 -> Case Complete.

10-28-14 -> Case Complete Email Received.

Yes, as long as the co/joint sponsor has income enough for his family plus anyone else currently sponsored.

For example, when I calculate household size for my wife's Adjustment of Status I had to include another person that I had sponsored on an earlier I-864 along with me and my wife. Our household of 2 (Linh and I) plus the other sponsored person.
