Hey all I'm new to this site so just trying to get some information....I filed at the start of november and my receipt date is nov 5th. I only just checked my status for the first time at last weekend as my rubbish lawyer didn't tel us that we could so. My current status is as follows (copied and pasted)

On November 30, 2010, your document I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) was processed and mailed to the address on record. If you have not received it within 30 days of November 30, 2010, contact customer service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move while your case is pending, please call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Has anybody else had the same status at any point?? Just trying to figure out what it means as it says "PROCESSED"

It may just be my NOA1 but I guess I'm just trying to stay positive

Any help and info would be greatly received

Good luck and best wishes to you all

looks like you are on the acceptance phase. no worries, you'll soon be getting your NOA1 notice :)

When did you get your NOA1? I wouldn't worry too much about the colour of the boxes as long as they are illuminated, but I don't really know.

HMMMM Good question.

Im assuming the blue is to show where the case stands in the process. But.... If you received a number and a letter, I would say your application is has been accepted, like the rest of us.

Mine is blue on "Initial Review." I'm under impression that you have a NOA1 already? It's so weird how your case status says "processed." I didn't have any E-mail notification though when I got my NOA1 so Im unsure if thats what they usually say.

Yes I received my NOA1 hard copy on November 15th. Just like you I'm also lost as to know why it says that. I signed up for the status updates yesterday and it was also touched on December 29th, we are going to call them and ask a few questions. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed its good news or at worst nothing to worry about :)

Having your file 'touched' really isn't a cause for concern. Even when your case is moved from one desk to another, it's barcode can be scanned, resulting in a 'touch'. Some cases are touched a lot. Others are not. (Mine hasn't been since 9/17.)

You won't get far when you call them. Unfortunately, they rarely have correct information. Sometimes people call and they don't even have an updated status on a case. Your call will probably not get you very far. (So if you're lazy like me, you don't bother.) :P

Hi! Welcome to the waiting game!

Thanks for the welcome. :) I'm getting a little antsy trying to plan out the ETA of when we'll actually have the Visa (who knows how long it'll take for the interview @ Montreal), but oh well. Can't do much about it but plan out. :)

As far as the August ones, I don't think it should. The people that were delayed were only by 2 or 3 days or so... and I only saw that one person was having problems. Seems to be right about the 5 month mark.

You're right we just have to sit it out and wait I guess. The August ones are coming along nicely from what I saw on the timeline, start to mid August has a lot of a activity so I'm staying hopeful :) I've learnt real quick to not let this whole process take over your life, though I know it means so much to people (myself included) worrying and getting stressed out does not make the USCIS go any faster. This site has been great not just for the information it provides but the people who use it as we are all in it together. I'm predicting we have at least a couple months yet to wait but I'm still praying daily :)
