Congrats to everyone that got their NOA2s! :thumbs: For me 5 months just hit this past weekend..just to be sure I have this right, I should call the USCIS and (well try) to put in a service request/ask for a 2nd tier person? How long should I wait after that to contact my congressman? Which is better emailing or calling? Hopefully CSC picks up the pace again! :innocent:

CONGRATS!! We're trying to hang in there! :whistle:

Your NOA1 was the day after mine. I really wonder how they process these applications, there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it!

@Lari and Johana.

Interesting, I called USCIS today, I just hit the 5 month mark, she put in a service request and told me to call back in 30 days if I haven't heard anything..Yet she told you 60. Not surprising that we get conflicting info..I wonder if the lady I talked to was just patronizing me..Yes it definitely feels like this is the hardest part of the process, being past processing time and seeing people before you getting theirs. :Sigh!:

It could also be that the processing time @ CSC is shorter, so it was in the time guidelines to put in a service request. When I hit the 5 month mark, I called the USCIS & they told me 60 days as well. :bonk:

I got my Approval this morning! Got a text saying to check USCIS. I knew I had signed up for Texts and Emails, so I quickly went to check my email. There, I saw the best thing to ever hit my inbox!

Hang in there my brothers and sisters whose cases are trapped in the abyss over at VSC... You're getting close! I had totally prepared myself to wait for another month, knowing some VSC-ers have been stuck for 6 plus months. So this was a total surprise. Just last night, I told my fiance that it look like they're doing mid-October and some Novembers are sneaking themselves into the stack. Well, now i can tell her, that ours was one of the Novembers that did just that!

NOA1: 11/3/2010

NOA2: 4/19/2011!

I have mostly been a lurker to these boards as my post count clearly shows, but I have to thank everyone at VisaJourney for providing a sense of hope in this long process! Anybody have advice for the Chinese Embassy? (Beyond preparing the P3 early to avoid mailing time delays) Thanks!
