Removing Condition NOA

My husband has run into a problem. We have just filed for ROC, but his employer does not recognise the one year extension that accompanies the application.

Now maybe I'm just being a little thick, but if his status is okay with the U.S. government, why wouldn't it be with his employer?

Is anyone else having an issue with this?

Not very likely, but then again, the USA is the land of idiots where presenting a letter from the US Government, written in English, may not suffice.

If it's a large company, a corporation with a HR department, I would suggest a letter from an attorney, outlining a possible multi-million dollar lawsuit for discrimination at the workplace might do the trick. If it's a very small company, that would definitely backfire, of course.

Maybe see if you can find another way to satisfy the requirements of the I-9? I might try making an INFOPASS appointment and asking them to give you the I-551 stamp with the new 1 year extension date?
