I'm flying to Atlanta in a fortnight, normally I book through Delta and check in at the delta desk. This time I'm booked through KLM because it was cheaper... it's actually a delta plane but is a codeshare with KLM, so tickets and everything have KLM flight numbers etc on them.

Where do I check in?

Is there anything else different? It's LGW-ATL-CHS

Check in at the airline counter that booked your tickets ---KLM.

Most likely they are shared check-in... KLM will not have a separate desk in ATL.. but is checked in by Delta... The opposite maybe true in LGW

YMMV

When I immigrated I flew KLM (operated by Delta) from Heathrow to JFK. I had to check-in with Delta. In fact, it told me to do that on my e-ticket. It also said that if I used a kiosk I would have to check-in with my name rather than my confirmation number; I guess because it was a Delta kiosk rather than KLM?

I think I remember that, at the time, KLM had a greater luggage allowance than Delta, but I can't remember.
