i dont have idea how many months i need to wait to get the k1 visa after i applied for it.

It would help if you had the service center at least in your timeline plus date of filing

Have a look at the link for Processing Times at the top of the page and go to the service center you filed through. Scroll down until you see I-129F then have a look across to see what the petition receipt date they are up to in processing.

depending on the processing center and friends i know who have applied it takes anywhere from 5 months-6 months for the k1 visa.

and depending on embassy it can take much longer unfortunately. Without knowing any of your details its all but impossible to hazard a guess.

You can try a timeline search on your embassy to see what others have experienced.

it depends on your processing center and embassy. Some processing centers get it done faster than others, as so is the embassy . It just all depends, there is never a set time on length of wait.

To say the least without your particular details that it seems Vermont Service Center at this time seems to be the fastest in processing and California Service Center is the slowest.

The K-1 process can take anything from 3-6 months and sometimes a year. You need to have your rain coat on the for storm of the wait and stand in line under the grey clouds like the rest of us.

You might get caught in administrative review as well, which adds another six months or so onto the wait. Somewhat rare, but best to keep the possibility in mind for plans and whatnot.
