Hi,

I am wondering if there are others that have to send documents to the Embassy after their interview. If it is taking weeks or months for you to get the documents together.

We had our interview 3 months ago and was told we needed a new co-sponsor. We found one but our co-sponsor is taking his sweet time getting paperwork to us. We have his signed affidavit of support and tax returns finally. The last thing we need from him is an employment letter. We have been waiting 2 weeks for that.

Please share your experiences.

Were you given the g221 form? I think there is a specific date written on that form that serves as your deadline in submitting the required post-interview documents. The sooner you can provide the documents, the better.

My husband talked to our co-sponsor today and he said he mailed the employment letter a few days ago. Hopefully it doesn't get lost in the mail and I can ship the package out to Pakistan this coming week. They asked for my husbands passport along with the new affidavit of support but being from Pakistan I expect that he will get some AP.

We have a year to get the affidavit of support into the Embassy but then the medical would expire.

Hope you can submit everything within the validity period of the medical exam results. Did your co-sponsor mail the letter of employment using a courier like FedEx or DHL? You should be able to track it online using the tracking number on the receipt.

One of the documents that i had submitted during my interview (my husband's divorce certificate) was not accepted by the CO. So, i need to get that re-made in the required format and send it to the embassy. It took us over a month to prepare the document, and we sent it in on the 20th of this month. Day before yesterday i called the embassy and they said they had forwarded the documents to the CO on 22nd and that it'll take 10 to 12 days to review them...

So, its wait and see for me..need all the prayers.
