I want NVC case # so bad... My NOA 2 is dated 25 Oct. So lucky the ppl that have NOA 2 same as me & already have case no. I know i'm lucky too bc i have finally received Noa 2 (could have been worse!) & I'm really sad for the May filers who have RFE & still waiting at that level for the stupid NOA 2...

This process is very relative, you can get lucky one time & then get unlucky. Few are lucky all the way!! I'm definitely not one of them.:bonk:

Loveispatient

yes i agree with u bec i have been waited so long it was almost a year but finally approved thank god

did u even called to the NVC to having Case number or do we still have to wait untill receiving the hard copy of NOA2 in the hand from the NVC ?

bec we are still waiting and did not called yet..

Thank you so much we better start to keep calling to the NVC then lets see if its already assigned

I will wait about 7-8 days then call NVC. They will not have the case number since you were only approved on the 27th. They normally tell you to give them 15days from when they receive it. However, I believe the case numbers are generated within 7-8 days.

Goodluck and peace.

Hey guys and gals... Try calling the NVC. I got my NOA2 this past Saturday. My petition was approved on the 26th of October. The operator I spoke with told me that my petition just arrived today at NVC. She was able to give me my case NVC case number and I was able to give her both mines and my wife's email addresses. She also answered all of my questions regarding paperwork and fee's that I still had that were lingering. She was pretty nice to me.

I urge you to call and ask to see if they have received it or not yet. Be prepared to hold for a while, be polite and speak clearly and I'm sure you will get your answers.

Again, Good Luck and thanks to all that have been such a great help here on VJ.

One more little tidbit that I kinda got from the lady I spoke with. I asked her about the AOS. Wanting to know what their threshold is regarding how much over the poverty limit would be sufficient. I told her that I claimed my niece who lives with me on my taxes. When I counted myself, my niece and wife on the form, I barely am about two thousand over that 125% poverty level. She said that that was fine and she said that as long as it's over it would be alright. Then she said that she seen someone that was eleven dollars over the poverty limit and they were approved. That's what I got from her. I also asked about employment verification and the letter I needed from my work. She said that that isn't really needed as they will look at the tax forms to verify my employment. Was a bit odd to hear but I'm still sending a letter from my HR to be safe.

Hope that might help a little to anyone who might be on the line as far as the AOS. Now, I honestly think that the decision or approval is about 90 percent decided before the package leaves the NVC. Just speculation but It's made me more confident and feel that the NVC stage will me much less stressful then the USCIS stage.

Good luck with that! Over is over and under is under. What causes you to be concerned that someone over what USCIS says qualifies doesn't qualify? Strange thinking. The numbers are easy to determine. Over this...yes...under this...no.

I wasn't too worried. Just read a few interview reviews from different countries and saw that some people got blue slip regarding AOS when they stated that they were already over the poverty level and were told to find a co-sponsor. I asked her to sort of have an idea of who gets to make those decisions. I've read a few horror stories about interview experiences and am just trying to learn from everybody else's experience so I can build my case as strong as possible with the least amount of headaches. :-)
