I am pretty sure I understand this correctly, but want to double check.....part 5 or I-184...you need to count your household size....it says not to count anyone twice...so I put my husband as the sponsored immigrant....then put me, my son, and my mom....but there is a box that says if married, count your spouse, but I am assuming I put a zero there because my spouse is the intending immigrant...this is correct, right?

Very correct 'zero' since you can't count him twice.

That's correct. If your spouse is the intended immigrant, you would place a zero for "married"

It takes about 10 days for NVC to send you the ds3032 kit.

According to your signature they have already sent it, so send another ds3032 to NVC this time add Attn Supervisor Sue, NVC case #, beneficiary name and DOB in the subject line...you should hear back within a couple of hours.

They only need the tax transcripts from IRS, you add the W2 just for additional documents. If you have the transcripts then you are fine. Also on the recent 864, they only ask for the most recent tax return which is 09, but its advisable to send in the 08 and 07 transcript to show regular income.

so don't delay if you don't have the W2, if you have tax transcript you are still meeting more than the min requirement - just send in your AOS packet.

thank you, I did end up just sending the copy of my taxes, I didn't order the transcripts because I just made copies of my actual tax paperwork...I assumed it would be fine, since it was above and beyond what they asked for. Thanks for the advice

You should have sent the Tax transcripts for at least 09. Go to closest IRS office and have them print out the transcripts and keep it handy in case you get a RFE. The problem with Tax return 1040 + schedules is that it does not prove that you filed it, unless you have a receive stamp from IRS - and that is only possible if you turned in the returns by hand at an office. Did you also send proof of employment or past 6 months of pay check stubs ?

Anyways, get it all now - i pray that you don't get a RFE. For other forms such as 230 please read the short cuts and guides on the sites below.

I did send a letter from my employer, and a few months of check stubs....geesh, I didn't think the actual transcript was a requirement, otherwise I could have gone down today and got a copy...#######, you think you are so careful, and I still managed to mess something up
