Hello, My wife and I filed the initial I-130 packet at the Embassy in Beijing back on September 24th and so far (as of October 28th) we've heard absolutely nothing back. I've emailed the embassy and I got a one sentence answer 'its currently pending process', this was about a week ago. Should I be worried? The reason why Im wondering is because as I browse these forums, I keep seeing people say 'we got our NOA1 in ten days' or somewhere around there..well, its been over a month for us and so far, nothing. The person on the phone at the embassy (yes, I called too..lol) said it can take up to 45 days but from looking at other people's timelines, it doesnt seem like anyone's takes that long. My concern is that we're not in Beijing and we had to travel there and our mailing address is not the same as our home address (we cant get mail at our home in China). Could that be the issue? Should I be freaking out? lol Thanks in advance.
