I posted on visa-journey yesterday about expedited petitions, I would like to say to all those who gave negative feed back and cast heavy doubts about the possibilities of an expedited petition.

My wife and I had ours expedited and ACCEPTED TODAY :dance:

I'm not in the army, nothing to do with ill health... made an educated appeal and common sense prevailed ...

Do you think they'd give an expidite if you were held over in USCIS as I'm almost 3 weeks past their processing deadline, just wondering since this thread is here.

07-28-08 Married.

05-04-10 Packet I-130 mailed.

05-06-10 Packet I-130 Arrived.

05-11-10 Packet I-130 Received by USCIS.

05-13-10 Touched.

05-17-10 NOA 1 Hardcopy Received.

11-03-10 Touched. Approved.

11-22-10 NOA2 hardcopy received.

11-04-10 DS-3032, I-864 Bill received.

11-04-10 E-mailed DS-3032.

11-05-10 DS-3032 Received.

11-04-10 AOS Bill paid.

11-05-10 IV Bill paid.

They say that every case is on its own merit, I do not know the reason exactly because we gave several but I think it was in our case the fact we were over due, so I can only say maybe you have a point, I really wouldn't want to advise you and give you foolish information... I will say

nothing ventured nothing gained!!!

what did you do??

curious because it would be nice to have ours speeded up because ( i know...its not much of a reason in some peoples eyes) by the time our I-130 comes near to being approved (hopefully) we will have spent 2 anniversaries apart...

i came back to england and moved to the wrong city (purely for work) and everything went downhill fast and to be honest...i have never met so many nasty people in one city...

i just want to go home...:(

2004 - we met online.

7th May 2007 - filed I-129 paperwork

9th June 2007 - received I-797 notice of action

13th November 2007 - I-129 approved

18th December 2007 Visa and medical interview

12th January 2008- Shipping company arrived

14th January 2008 - landed at Newark Airport.

9th March 2008 - got married(received SSI number)

April 2008 - My things arrived in USA from the UK

9th March 2009 - our 1st Anniversary

14th June 2009 - returned to the UK

9th March 2010 - our 2nd Anniversary - spent apart - so lonely :(

1st September 2010 - filed I-130 (applying for IR1)

11th Sept - Received I-797c address part C error

13th Sept - Resubmitted I-130

24th Sept 2010 received second I-797 NOA status - "initial review"

4th January 2011 - I-130 Approved - moving to NVC!

12th January 2011 - I-130 forwarded to NVC.

31st January 2011 - Notification of LDN number received in the post.

The best advice is to write your state senator's office. They will see if you fit in an expedited situations and contact the NVC. I know they don't agree to do them all, but as my husband has said, nothing ventured nothing gained. I wish everyone luck on this. :)

It is not just the city my friend, it is the whole country that is nasty, I do not wish to sound nasty myself when I say this but this country (UK) has gone bad... hate it here.

Why didn't you just Adjust Status after marrying on your K-1? Waiting 2 years to file is no real reason to expedite. You chose to wait. Just saying.

Congrats on your approval Although I am very curious as to what the reasons were for that. Im not being negative in anyways but knowing what you put as your reasons could help someone in the future as yes they are all seperate cases but if one person got approved for such reasons than it is possible for others to as well.
