That Filipino pigeon pidgin language is hard to understand or decipher,. All I got understood was: "I carry my own chair", and some nonsense about "air is heavy" and "tornado in Texas." :bonk::bonk:

I suggest trying to learn English, since, more than likely, you will need it in USA and English come comes in real handy in the Philippines,. I was under the impression that most people in PI could speak or write English in PI, unless you they had never went been to school..........

Yup, sixth-grade English is better than no English at all.

My wife has asked me to send money to her family in the Philippines for medical expenses. She says one relative was a patient in the hospital. When my wife's relative was due to get released from the hospital, her family couldn't pay the bill, so the hospital wouldn't allow her to leave. My wife says that's normal in the Philippines - they keep you imprisoned in the hospital until you pay the medical bill. It doesn't make sense to me. If that were true, people who were out of money would flock to the hospital all the time and then live at the hospital. That would clog up the hospitals and those who needed medical care wouldn't be able to get any. Can anyone shed any light on this?

She is asking you to send money for her relatives?

Let me tell you how it works in the Philipppines.

A real filipina that loves you for who you are, will NOT ask you for money period.

She will be embarrassed to even ask you for money. If she is really in need of money for her applications and fare to get those documents, she will give you a hint.

She will be embarrassed to even ask you for money for medical expenses of her relative.

A good wife material Filipina is humble.

If you are just started communicating, have her go to Computer Cafe and have her use a web cam. <--- Do this.

If she asks money for this and that and then you give money left and right, you will be in trouble in the long run. You have now portrayed youself as a rich guy and she will be demanding nice house and nice cars when she comes over to USA. If you can't afford it, your marriage will be in trouble.

If you are with her in Philippines and you realized that she talks down to poor people, you might be picking on a wrong person to marry in the future.

A lot of people are poor in the Philippines but even in that condition they are happy. They might not dress up as good but they respect each other.
