Hi, All:

I just got my I-130 approved. Now I'm going to prepare documents for NVC processing. For I-864, it requires tax returns for the past three years. But all my tax returns were joint ones with my ex-wife, including last year, will this be a problem?

I do have my own current pay stubs, W2s, employment letter, assets etc., and the proverty minimum is not a problem.

It's not a problem but be certain to state only your own income, not the combined income and do not use a transcript. Provide the complete return including W2 forms so they can see which income was for whom.

I think both the tax returns and the tax transcripts, they only show the combined incoming. I believe the key is to attached my individual W2s for the past three years with the tax returns. Do you agree?

That is what I did for my joint return with the ex. And it did not cause a problem in our case.
