I know :dead: I'm going for a deep tissue massage today to see if that helps. Hopefully it's just tight muscles around the area.

what are we talking about again?

I hope that massage helps. I think the soreness is a result of writing too many papers.

Since I have a high tolerance to pain meds, I will take your's for you. Besides, I like feeling loopy.

I agree! I finally finished with all papers!!!!!! All I have to do is take 3 finals next week :dead:

I want a masseuse too. How is everybody doing today?? I'm doing better pain-wise and not taking any pain meds at all for the past few days. They make me loopy. You can ask Amby about my delusions.

it's either bursitis or the beginning of locked shoulder syndrome. it's been hurting off and on since the beginning of october but tonight it's total #######.

I had a frozen shoulder last year - it developed over a period of about 4 months. Once it was completely frozen I started physiotherapy which helped a lot. The main focus of the therapy was triggerpoint pressure release. It was painful but oh man, did it ever help. You can probably do some of this on your own too. Find the sensitive trigger points throughout the shoulder girdle and down the arm and using your other hand (thumb or fingers) press the trigger points until it hurts and hold it for a minute or so. Keep working the trigger points that way. It will break up the stiffness over time. It took 6 months of therapy to get about 95% of shoulder mobility/range of motion back. Massage will help as well - just ask them to make sure they do deep tissue and trigger point pressure massage on the whole area and down the arm. Good luck with that - painkillers just don't seem to work. Frozen shoulder will hurt while it is freezing, lessen up a little when fully frozen unless you exceed the limited range of motion, and then really hurt again while it unfreezes :(.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Thanks Kathryn!

I had a deep tissue massage today and it was VERY painful but I had some relief after. My doctor said I need to keep moving it as much as possible even if it hurts. Having another massage on Wednesday.
