One of the greatest influences on the climate of the UK is the Atlantic Ocean and especially the North Atlantic Current, which brings warm waters from the Gulf of Mexico to the waters around the country by means of thermohaline circulation. This has a powerful moderating and warming effect on the country's climate—the North Atlantic Drift warms the climate to such a great extent that if the current did not exist then temperatures in winter would be about 10 °C (18.0 °F) lower than they are today. The current allows England to have vineyards at the same latitude that Canada has polar bears.

now that's interesting! I heard something about the water there is very black. Is that true ?

I think it has more to do with the weather than anything

Maybe it has to do with the currents or something cos in the first 2 pics the water looks so dark as opposed to the last pic.

The temp is supposed to drop throughout the day here.

I ordered so much stuff on Friday I've already had 3 fedex trucks here today. I dont know why they don't just put it all on one truck?

Gumby has stuff delivered here all the time ( security systems/stuff for work ) and trust me, I know what you mean about making several deliveries in one day instead of all at once.

They knock once, and if you don't answer in a split second, they run back to the truck and speed off.

This guy is pretty nice. I told him if he see's the cars in the drive to knock hard on the door and wait.

one time my grandfather (the same one who lectured me on how to properly load the dishwasher) called fedex and yelled at them. he said he was an old man and he needed more than one knock to get to the door and he expected the guy to bring the package back again right away and wait for him to get to the door. my mom and I were sitting in the kitchen laughing our azzes off the whole time he was on the phone.

On the topic of bad delivery people, I once sent a package to my mom when I lived far away. I requested a signature on it which can be viewed online once the person has signed for it. My mom told me when she got home, the package was sitting wedged between the storm door and the wood door. I went online, checked the signature, and it was my mom's name but NOT her handwriting. Congratulations, Canada Post for forging my mom's signature...worst postal service ever.
