Hey Guys...another day...but, I got a bit of good news today, and I mean a LITTLE BIT ONLY...my phb told me today that I got a 2% raise

It's only a small carrot but Koda approves. :thumbs:

Haha...All us Catholics have a Jewish streak...its part of our faithful frugality

one of my Jewish friends was telling me something about putting like $50k every year per kid into some sort of account that's tax free. I think that's what she was saying. She was trying to convince me I should have kids and start giving them $50k/yr from birth.

I don't plan on ever having kids. I like kids but I'm perfectly happy borrowing kids of my family members for a bit and then giving them back.

Really? I can understand being happy with borrowed kids and you're obviously a great Aunt etc...but why wouldn't you want to have kids? It seems to me that you'd be a great Mom, whenever you're ready

I just have so much stuff I want to do. I don't like to stay in one place and I don't think it would be fair to kids to drag them all over the world with me. Like this summer I'm going to Mongolia to work in a hospital. If I had kids I couldn't do that.

Those are good reasons. I did the opposite. I had kids early (while in college) and then when they were young teenagers I started running around the world. I guess that worked out ok...

Personally, Bishop/Rabbi, I knew I was never cut that way. I remember those silly games little girls play..." How many kids do you want when you grow up ? " . I recall feeling very uncomfortable and lying, making up some number so no one would think I was weird. I knew since I was a small child that my lot in life was not to reproduce. I don't need to have a child to 'complete' me as a woman. Just my .02 Shekels.
