ok I'm fully recovered (I think)

I'm very musical this week. I've been playing the piano more than usual and I even got out my violin for the first time in forever! I decided I will go crazy if all I do is med school for the next 4yrs. I understand it will be my life, and I'm ok with that, but I need to do other stuff besides going on trips and blowing money. Also...they totaled my car from that wreck the other week because it messed up a bunch of stuff under the car. Sooooo...I'm going car shopping tomorrow. I'm thinking something like a Porsche Cayenne S or Range Rover. Thoughts?

Nagi - my grandma really wanted me to play instruments while growing up. I gave up on the clarinet after 2-3 weeks in grade 4 because I was really sh*t at it!

I test drove some cars but haven't decided yet. Right now I'm feeling overwhelmed by the amount of stuff I need to learn to be a doctor.

my mom forced me to take piano lessons as a kid. I hated it so much that I never learned to read music....just play by heart. another reason is the old piano we had was in the basement, and I had terrible fear of the basement, so how can you read music when you are too busy looking over your shoulder ??

I played a lot of stuff from memory, but there's a lot of stuff I can't remember just because I don't play that much anymore. The little kids love when I play music for them. They dance around the house and never want me to stop.

I can totally get the scary basement thing. When I was little I had a friend who lived in a really old house with a creeeeeepy basement.

I remember my grandmother had a dirt floor in her old farmhouse basement. And a huge furnace that looked like a giant octopus. Of course, that was like 45 years ago.

My dad actually instilled this fear of basements into me. I was like 3 and he used to tell me there was skeletons, ghosts, dead bodies and witches in our basement. I never got over that.
