Val, if you have info, please send !! I got everything about worked out but the boarding....I'm still trying to find something affordable and closer to me.

I hear stories of TB's who are sent to auction ( kill pens ) and there is nothing wrong with them other than they don't produce the desired results, as it were.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Remember, there is a lot of negative press going on - most are not sent to slaughter. They find good homes. I gave away all of mine, who were not fit to run anymore. When we became concerned about them breaking down, we gave them away to a good home. And, auction does not necessarily mean kill pen, although I do wonder why horses have a higher standing than cattle.

I can call my ex in TO and ask if there are any available, and what the current shipping rates are. It used to be about $1k, if you are in the NY area.

Val, Im near the metro Detroit area.

The Europeans have a taste for horse meat, so most of the slaughtered ends up on their plates.

Woodbine would be closer, I think. There is no hurry, but want something sound or something that retired sound. I don't think I could rehab injuries. Financially, anyway.

I hope she's getting better.

She must also be busy with the kids.

I see her on Facebook once in a while. I also remember her when I buy doughnuts and I did a few hours back.

Anyone partying to welcome 2011?
