Sorry, Republicans couldn't do anything without Democrats as of January 2007.

Any legislation that passed after that point is solely on their shoulders.

You can't have your cake and eat it too. Just as Democrats blame Republicans for the war in Iraq when they had a majority, eventhough a bunch of Democrats voted for it....

Paul, read the article I posted, it is quite clear.

What planet are you from? NPR is so biased that is cannot be called journalism. It is just a publicly funded DNC shill. You b!tch about Fox being biased and then turn a blind eye to NPR. If NPR wants to shill for the liberal side of things that is fine as long as public funds are not being used.

NPR does report more than stories about partisan politics, stories that you wouldn't hear on network news because of the preponderence of lame "human interest" stories about waterskiing squirrels and two legged dogs. Yet naturally noone actually care about that.

It is not just what has happened since 2007 -- the codes are an accretion that has taken place over many years. Both parties are to blame.

NPR news programs list:

All Things Considered - whoah! With a name like that, they must be liberal because what conservative in their right mind would consider anything but their own crusty ideas?

Fresh Air - another liberal propaganda show because we all know conservatives hate the clean air and the environment!

Talk of the Nation - It's sounds national, but I have my suspicions.

Morning Edition - sounds too much like rainbows and sunshine....definitely liberal.

Tell Me More - definitely liberal. No conservative wants to hear anymore than enough to form their crusty opinions about an issue.

Don't forget Car Talk! Must be all about the electric car and those limp-wristed hybrids. (Disclosure: I own a V8 Mustang, and there's no way I would ever trade that in for a hybrid, sorry.)

Oh my. This puts your communist pinko membership in jeopardy. There'll have to be an impromptu board meeting on whether to expel you or not.

Well Steven, we know you have two Segways, and eat granola, that is enough commie librul points to cover for maven. Besides, my hippy Audi would smoke her mustang. Only cool people drive silver Audi's, thats what I hear

I'm totally Vanilla Ice -- "Rollin' in my 5.0 / With my ragtop down so my hair can blow"cool.gif And anyway, I'm starting a new chapter, The Pink(o) Ladies. We get our nails done, have a spot of lunch (NOT at a dirty vegan cafe), try on cute little revolutionary berets and then smash the rich. But I so need to be home from smashing in time to watch True Blood.

Yeah, sure. Let's meet at the corner of La Cienega and Venice tonight, grab some tacos from El Gallito, and then drag race. We'll see who smokes whom, compadre.

And just because David also drives a silver Audi doesn't mean I think they're cool. FFS, he's middle-aged -- he must have a decade on you. It takes a real pinko princess to drive a 1993 Stang with some Slim-Fasts and knitting needles in the boot of the car.

I was thinking more along the lines of Mulholland. Then we'll see who wins ;)

Hmmmmm, weighing good tacos versus a discernable advantage in a race. Tacos win every time

I'm glad you see it my way. Srsly, those carnitas tacos I had last night were insane. When I was coming back from David's last night at midnight, I had to pass by the El Gallito truck again and I *so* nearly pulled over to get another couple.

unlike most sheeple, I listen to/watch most of everything and especially C-Span from time to time to get the whole truth and not just the media spin on it...

NPR used to be my primary listening choice from noon to 5 every day, then got sick of the rhetoric there that was played off as fact...

Fox News & MSDNC are jokes upon themselves at times, though the "news" portion of Fox is pretty accurate. You only get in trouble when you start watching tools like Oreilly, Beck, and Hannity... CNN does ok when Anderson Cooper isn't throwing his personal bias on things in there, though CNN.com is inherently biased a lot of times in their cherry-picking of 'opinion' articles... ABC is probably the least biased on the "web" portion of their news.

MSDNC

Speaking of segues, I just made some modifications to mine and it now has a top speed of 18mph. Beat that, Mr. Audi!
