Don't be skeptical of her; maybe she just doesn't have practice with dealing with the Rusian document system and how to work that.

I can offer to have my Alla call her and help her out if that would help? PM me if you want.

So i am talking to Tanya now and she said the people in the medical exam office told her she could not go to the interview because she did not have her vaccination records as a child and teen. Anyone ever heard of this? So to make a long depressing story even worse she did not go to the interview. I cannot believe this!!!! So she is trying to see what she can do to get these vaccination records she does not have. She called her father, with whom she lived with for a time, to see if he has them, but it does not look good. why would this even happen? I thought the medical exam was a formality where she just gets her results and goes to the interview. I have no idea where my vaccination records are as a kid.

so I am in the process of writing an email to the Moscow embassy to ask them about rescheduling the interview. I still do not know why she didn't go, but if someone told me I could not go to an interview because I didn't have the right paperwork I would probably do the same and not go. I know the next interview date could be two more months away, and at this point is fine, but will they look down on this because she did not show for the interview? Did I mention I cannot believe this happened????

I need some desperate help here. what do we do now? We have no idea where we go from here. Please help.

ooooops,...

I just called hubby since he recently went through Moscow for interview and did the physical there. I didn't remember him specifically mentioning anything about the shot records, but when I called today and I asked him about it, he said in fact when he called to make the appointment for the physical in Moscow they told him over the phone that he would need to bring his shot records or have to pay for and take the shots over if he didn't have them.

Since he could not find his shot records from his childhood he went to the local medical center and they gave his the records or made a copy for him which he took to Moscow physical appointment.

It may be different for fiance VISA but the solution seems as simple as getting copies of the shot records from a local medical center, or retaking the shots then asking for a new interview.

Yes, I admit I thought red flag too, but now I am thinking this type of brick wall mentality is pretty common in her culture and she should have called you or gone to Embassy but that is water under bridge now, so have her get the records and if she didn't complete the physical reschedule it and of course reschedule the interview.

Good luck, sorry your holiday won't go as planned

Well this helps. I just wish this would have been on the embassy website. I know I would have made sure she had this when she went, or she would have had this done as well.

As far as not going to the interview, you are correct in saying, 'this is water under the bridge." We will just have to work through it.

I tried to call the embassy, but the line was busy and I am on a call now at work. I will try first thing in the morning, or even really late tonight. They close in 8 minutes for the day.

I hope they did not send the petition back to the USA yet!!!!

Thanks all. Believe me I have thought about my skepticism as well. I just think she didn't know, and I am not so sure I would have known either. Not trying to make excuses for her, but who knows. What would I have done? But believe me I am a little cautious. However it is not like I have sent her thousands of dollars. I think this is normal that my mind is running around in circles. I love this girl, and I believe she loves me very much too. At the same time we are thousands of miles away from each other, and you never know. I don't want to start questioning her trust, but at the same time I think I have to. To her defense though I am not in her shoes. We need to talk out what actually happened before I start passing judgment.

Her interview was for a K-1 visa, and if she doesn't have the vaccinations for the next time she goes to the interview, and they tell her the same thing then I'm gonna be really pissed. So I think we need to have her go to a school and get the vaccination documentation just for peace of mind.

I am just hoping the next interview will not be too far off. I still am in a little shock as to this whole process, but I am trying to calm down a little before I start drilling Tanya with questions. That would not be fair to her, and could be a recipe for a break-up. So I just want to talk to her. I'm just anxious.

what do you mean her interview WAS for a K-1? She didn't go? If that's the case this stinks to high heaven.

Vaccinations ARE NOT REQUIRED for K-1 visas. They ARE required for adjustment of status AFTER she arrives and you get married. Getting something falsified will not help you and could hurt you.

also, if you are questioning her sincereity I cannot recommend you do this. Sorry. I can honestly say I NEVER doubted Alla in this regard for any moment ever. Never. Complete trust is the absolute necessary FIRST ingredient in any such relationship.

PLEASE PAY ATTENTION! The OP is filing for a K-1 FIANCEE visa. Vaccinations ARE NOT REQUIRED FOR A K-1 VISA! YOU have a CR-1...it is NOT THE SAME! Vaccinations ARE required for the CR-1 because it is an IMMIGRANT VISA, the K-1 is a NON-IMMIGRANT VISA.

Your post serves no pupose but to confuse the OP.

Well, sorry you feel that way it was not my intention to confuse the OP it was to reassure the OP that there is probably no Red Flags, the Medical Office probably got confused with the difference between the K1 and the spouse VISA requirements and the fiance probably just got turned around by the confusion.

I did say " It may be different for fiance VISA ..............but the solution seems as simple as getting copies of the shot records from a local medical center, or retaking the shots then asking for a new interview.

You are probably correct that the fiance doesn't need the shot record, but apparently the medical center is not clear on this issue evidenced by the fact they gave her bad information.

And if she does go ahead and get the shots/and or the records now, she won't face the same confusion at the medical second time around regardless if its required for Fiance VISA or not.. and bonus it will probably be cheaper to get this done there than it will be here in the states and the issue will be settled and not have to be revisited later.

Email to the embassy has been sent to reschedule the interview. I hope it's not too late. She was schedule for last Thursday, so I am hoping this is not the case. What would happen if they sent the documents back to the USA? I imagine we would have to start from the beginning. I cannot imagine how awful that would be.

I think we both were so used to not contacting each other using the phone that we didn't think about it. Dumb on both our parts. I was trying to let her handle these things herself, but I will be calling next time.

I certainly do not think she is scamming me. We have been talking for a year and a half, and I have barely given her any money at all. So I cannot pass this kind of judgment on her. Of course I am a little skeptical, but at this stage I really cannot be. I think this was just a mistake.

The petition has an expiration date 4 months from when it was approved. You have until that time to make an interview OR request an extension. There would be no reason for them to send the petition back before the expiration date of the approved petition (the date is on your NOA2) UNLESS you ar she indicate you are not going through with it. Otherwise it should just be held waiting for you.

I want you to be clear about one thing because I am confused.

DID SHE GO TO THE INTERVIEW OR NOT?

WHO told her she needed vaccines?

Be aware that EVERYTHING in this process in done in writing and DOCUMENTED. DOCUMENTED! That means IF she needs vaccines for the visa she would be given a paper telling her that. If the consulate denies her visa for lack of vaccines, they give a paper telling her that. NOTHING, repeat NOTHING is EVER done or determined by a clerk at the medical clinic. Nothing. Ever.

ALWAYS go to scheduled interviews NO MATTER WHAT! If there is something missing let THEM tell you on an official document IN WRITING.

I am trying to be reasonable about this, but it is a VERY common scam technique to go through with the petition and then at the interview flake out for some reason. You woul dbe number 2 this month in this forum.

There is nothing wrong with getting the vaccines done in Russia and getting a DS-3025 at the medical exam. It makes the AOS process easier later (and cheaper) but it is in NO WAY necessary for the issuance of a K-1 visa.

Another thing that tells me this case STINKS is that the Moscow clinic DOES give vaccines. Our son is a student in Moscow and had his vaccines updated at the Moscow clinic BEFORE taking the train to Kiev for his K-2 to follow interview. It costs extra but they DO it. If she had "needed" vaccines, as for a CR-1, they would have offered to do it for a fee. Since she is a K-1 she does not need the vaccines and if she didn;t ask for it, they were not offered...OR the whole thing is a scam.

How much money are you sending her every month? Did you buy her a new pair of boots or a coat lately? How did she feed herself before you came along?

I gave it the benefit of the doubt at first but now I would be VERY suspicious.

She DID NOT go to the interview. Not sure why just yet, but she didn't.

I don't understand why she would be scamming me. As with your significant others I do not know the whole situation. I don't know what the scam is here. It's not like I am dumb enough to send her $10,000. I know you all are not trying to pass judgment, and just looking out for my best interest, and ultimately my heart. I just don't think this is possible. Maybe she had cold feet, but at the same time I would have went to the interview too with or without any papers.

Where is this other person who was scammed like this? Is there a post for him/her? I just want to see if there are any similarities here.

None, I don't send her anything every month. I sent her money for the interview in Moscow, and that's it. We sent small, very small, gifts back and forth, but we always kept in mind that when we were together we would do nicer things. If sending post cards and refrigerator magnets is a scam then I am guilty. I think she sent me more things. Nesting doll, handmade stein, handmade plate from tree bark, framed pictures, etc... I gave her a hundred dollar iPod in Egypt, and I forgot to mention I sent her more peanut butter because she loved the peanut butter I brought to Egypt. Maybe she loves me for my peanut butter.

Cool. Just sayin, don't ignore stuff from this point on.

He said he hasn't sent her a bunch of money and he believes it was just a mistake.

It's possible that there was one Russian girl in all of Russia who wasn't aware of how the K-1 visa process works. I mean, just based on sheer numbers alone you'd think there'd be one out there. Maybe she was the one.

Chris, don't get me wrong. I hope it is just a mistake and clearly she doesn't need to drag it out to keep the peanut butter train rolling along. Good news.

So that you are aware, just do not allow her to be derailed by people running their mouths. If she will be refused a chance to interview, that should come at the consulate, NOT at the medical clinic. Follow the procedure, let the different departments and agencies do what they need to do and go on to the next. One does not tell you what the next will do. make another interview and go to it. With or without vaccines. If she can get them in the meantime...fine. If not, do not worry about it.

Good luck.
