Using the cheap ####### they manufacture for people here to buy is hardly some example of shoddy engineering. It's the growing private sector in China that is producing this #######, which is ironic.

Projects like these are being engineered using foreign engineering and architectural firms. You know, like the ones who endorse reinforced concrete for skyscrapers rather than steel frames. Hence, would not have collapsed like some POS. Speaking of that, it's been 10 years now, where is the tower?

The Chinese Government who is building these mega-projects is also the one who holds $2.7 trillion in USD cash. It's also the same loan shark that is owed owed $800 billion USD by Spooks.

The funny thing about Spook is he's from Boston, the same city where the Big Dig was an embarrassment. Strange how we built a 2.1 mile tunnel under swap land, rivers etc in Melbourne and it has not missed a beat, looks much better too. Nearly forgot to add, its also close to 1/2 a mile deep. And also $1.8 billion vs $22 billion, which includes upgrading the freeway system for 15 miles and building an additional massive bridge.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Do your research Einstein. The Big Dig was 10 times the scope and complexity of Melbourne. It was the largest construction on the planet. I see you're already sucking up to China so when they take over your homeland you might be spared.

You still haven't posted the article Heracles. I simply am no longer going to respond to a dodger like you. You really have no business saying anything when you can not even post what you say you have. Very lame.

Strange, indeed.

Starting from grade, that tunnel, if indeed almost 1/2 mile deep, at 2.1 miles long would need a 1:2 gradient from start to center and the same on the other side, if the low point was just in the centre of the tunnel. Otherwise, it gets even steeper!

What do Aussies in Melbourne drive?

:ot2:

Chinese, fastest train in the world? Sorry, HuffPo. My money's still on the (*insert muttered expletive here*) French and the TGV.

I'd rather fly on an American plane than ride a Chinese train. We know how greatly valued human life is there and what an outstanding safety record they have. Ask the miners.

Strongly disagree, American planes are very old and worn out because American based airlines have not money to purchase new fleets. China also has the #1 safety record in both Air and Rail transportation. Being one who has been on many trains in China, their new train system is awesome, first class service for next to nothing ticket prioces.

Isn't a 1:2 slope a 50% grade? So you know this statement is total bs.
