I was going to wait until the 29th to call USCIS about our petition, that would've been 6 months after our NOA1. I got restless today and decided to call...I'm so tired of waiting, we both are. They took a service request, which from what she explained means they'll send a request to the office we filed at to inquire what is taking so long to process our file. She didn't see any pending RFE's or denials. That could also mean they just haven't looked at it.

Was that the right thing to do, or should I have called a senator? Or can I do both? I'm lost in this process, not sure what to do to get it moving.

Thanks:)

Thank you both:) I wasn't sure if there some kind of procedure a person had to follow or not. Don't want to irritate anyone

I will do that tomorrow then. I saw a link somewhere on this site on the correct way to contact a congressman, I think I saved it. So I'll follow that. Thanks again!

Call someone in Congress. I contacted one from the beginning and she stuck with me through the whole process. It took us a total of 6 months for my husband to be approved on a K1. You should definetly check it out! I was able to go to my states homepage and find out who my congress people were, I contacted both of them via email, but only heard back from one... but she was good and checked out everything. She gave me updates before anyone else did.

Good Luck!! Keep us updated!

Thanks, I'm going to do that on Monday. We still have no touches three days after they put the service request in. So tired of waiting...and even after our file is approved there is still more waiting. We need to see some progress. Thanks for all the advice and help :)
