Running on very little sleep and feeling a deep sadness that I haven't felt the last few times I've come back from Mexico. I don't know it feels different now that we're married. Like we got 4 days to be together as husband and wife and now we're separated for another 8 months probably. I almost feel like it was wrong of me to come back, unfortunately I didn't really have any choice.

That, and my flowers never showed up so my attitude is similar to that of a child in the corner pouting.

So what do you all think? Is everything different now that we're married? Is it going to be this hard every time?

1. Congrats on the wedding!

2. Sorry that you are feeling down right now.

3. To answer your question... hmmmm tough question... technically you should miss your spouse more.. but in reality, it was a piece a paper one sign(setting aside religious ceremonies and all) so there really shouldn't be a big increase in the 'missing you' factor. bottom line, you will miss him either way. look for whatever works for you in or der to cope with that. It is essentially what happened with me and my wife.

good luck!

Daniel

the same with me and Javed. we been apart 1 1/2 years its hard as hell. we did not even have a honeymoon or nothing. nothing we can do about it. we hope and pray that being reunited will happen soon. the best thing I can tell you is to communicate alot and never argue. Always know you are togeather even if your bodys are not in the same room. this is a very hard tasking but , hang in there kiddo. (L)(L)

when's the last time your visited your husband, shon??? 18mo is a long time to be separated ... especially when one works for an airline. is that just the time you've been apart or when you saw him last?

chin up, melissa ... circumstances haven't changed ... you are just legally bound together now. you are just as close in heart to javier as you were last week before you left! :luv: don't let this get you down and affect your mood. you've made a positive step in the right direction ... think about the happy loving memories from your trip!

Well Congrats Mrs .A,...

I know about the feeling of sadness. I believe it is different after your married. I had maybe a month with my hubby before he deployed after we got married, and that was a 12 month separation. In total, we had only really spent maybe 45 days together leading up to us marrying, and that was in a 20 month time frame. Our longest separation was 18 months, and that was before we married, beween visits so to speak. And as I write this, he is currently away again, training in preparation for another 12 month deployment,...*sigh*. I dont wish the separation on anybody. Even though he has been home Since April last year, we had another 6 month separation, from May to Oct, as his job in their wisdom, decided he needed to do some work related schooling

Before your married, your you and he is him, if you know what I mean, even though a couple, still seperate entities. Once your married, you and him, become an 'us'. Before you marry, there is still some semblance of independence so to speak, after you marry it turns into co-dependence in a lot of ways, as the rigours of married life, and married life decisions kick in. Its always harder to make these decisions, when you are separated

So I tend to disagree, with Daniel on the no change in the missing you factor. It hit me harder once married. But, as he said too, it is also a personal thing, and it affects people many dierent ways. I really feel for you gurl,....
